Nice deal on a refurbished HP X360 14" Chromebook with an i3, 8 GB of RAM, 64 GB SSD, backlit keyboard, for $280 on Woot. I got one last year from Best Buy (they often had it on sale for $349), and it's quite excellent -- high quality display, good keyboard feel, premium build. Updates until at least June 2025. Woot offers a 90 day warranty.

Roblox does not run well on Chromebooks, if the main reason is for Roblox I don't recommend it. The MOTILE Ryzen 3 on Walmart.com is better (or any cheap Ryzen 2200/3200/2500/3500u laptop)
Someone watches LTT
I bought my MOTILE 14 R5 right after black Friday when the bundle was $319 with a mouse, backpack and battery pack. Way better deal than now. Linus is 4 months late.
First, generalizing "XX doesn't run on Chromebooks" is an ignorant statement. We have chromebooks ranging from mobile budget Mediatek SoC's all the way to i7 Pixelbooks.
On the broad spectrum of chromebooks, this one is actually up there with some of the fastest. First, the i3 is overkill for Chrome, as is 8gb. Doesn't mean that it shouldn't have it because the more the better, but even on an m3 CPU w/ 4gb, Chromebooks absolutely fly (both Chrome itself, as well as Google Play android apps).
2nd, comparing a bottom-of-barrel budget Windows laptop vs. Chrome OS is another poor comparison, especially if you consider performance over time. ALL my chromebooks run just as fast if not faster vs my ii7-9750h Windows laptop w/16gb when using Chrome. Speed isn't just the hardware, it's also the software/OS.
I own this laptop, and this is a stellar price. The build quality is excellent (way way way above most Walmart laptops $900 or less). It's way better than the new Asus C4XX series that everyone is drooling over (had 2, returned 2). Granted, the bezels are bigger though.
As far as Roblox, assuming you're downloading it off Google Play (or if theres a web based version), this laptop will run it completely fine.
If you get a chance to compare this laptop next to a "Motile" you'll probably laugh a little to yourself how disparate the quality is.
This laptop has the added benefit of being a flip tablet convertible, a feature that's getting more and more rare w/ Chromebooks. It's because most laptops are ungainly as tablets, but thats not the power of a convertible, it's the ability use in tent-mode or screen-in-your-face-keyboard-upside-down mode. Especially for kids who watch videos/movies, this level of flexibility is awesome when watching content around the house and on the go.
Assuming you're getting a Chromebook to access cloud apps and Google Play apps, this is one of the best overall Chromebooks for power and build quality you can buy right now at any price point below $450. At $500, I'd go for a refurb Pixelbook GO.
