I wish there were deals for the DWS716XPS version with blade shadow light. I know you can add it on yourself with third party parts for about $80 but the XPS version is normally only $25 more.

Due to my limited space, I got a 10inch non-slider and used it to cut the 1x10 boards soon realized flipping the boards can't be done very perfectly

Another note, the 10" is made in Taiwan while others in the same price range are China.

As for baseboards depends on the height. I think the 10" can do 4.5 inch or so. Again you could rent it or rip it with a regular saw but more difficult if it has bevel. For baseboards not super critical cutting, so a rental from HD or Lowes would do the job.
