Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I got a new line (no port in) and submitted the request for 300$ prepaid card in the store. The store manager allowed me to enter in the details in their system. The status on the request is 'pending'. Dont know if I will get the 300$ or not...any tips or comments?

Sprint didn't honor $200 pre-paid card last time for me. I clicked the banner in my account, and submitted my claim, but they claim I'm not targeted. They are liars. Keep everything documented if you plunge.

given the timeframe MCGC is sent out, it looks like you just get nearly free service for 6-7 months, with KickStart.
Gain 300GC
Expense 35/mo + tax/fee for 12-15 weeks

EDIT: wrong math thinking about two line expenses...

I chatted with customer service last night. Got my acct num. I was able to register for online access with the acct num. I logged in and it showed port action required. I submitted all the acct info and pin. All the numbers were ported within 10 minutes.
I called 877 503 3269 but waited 35 minutes then I gave up.

what did you tell them? I chatted but they would not give me my account number, instead, they asked me to call...

updated: never mind, second try worked!

I'm in it to make some money. Expense: 3-4 months of Kick Start on a single line ($40.87/month including taxes + fees) + $14 for two SIM kits (long story). Get back: $300 GC + $80 from tcb + 5% from credit card on cell phone service.

Isn't it $60 a month or can I join the kick start plan?

$40 Kick start plan is eligible for the $300 GC. Put it on Auto Pay and get $5 off per month.'

So do you think you'll get the gift card without following the most obvious of all the requirements?

I will take the chance as the store manager has assured me. If I dont get it, I will still ask them to credit that amount to my account as I would have ported one of my other lines if the manager wouldn't have told me to go ahead without porting.

You have to get that in writing if he can bend that rule.... Otherwise.... You'll be one of those guys posting here ranting about your past Sprint experience at the store.

I agree with GK. The processing center will see you didn't port in and deny your rebate. Good luck. You're gonna need it. I think your best bet now is to call and cancel citing their 30 day guarantee and then use the no credit check option or your spouse's ssn. Rule of thumb: Never listen to in store advice. ALWAYS check SD.

You can buy a Sprint SIM kit at Best Buy for $10 + sales tax. You can also order it from Sprint web site for $3 + tax, overnight shipping by UPS is free. If you want to be sure you'll have the SIM on-hand before your Visible service runs out, buy it from Best Buy. (I did both and ended up with two kits).
