Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Take a new number for the time then port later
Would that still qualify for the $300 port in if you get a temporary number and port in your original number before the promo ends?

Too many pages to read and not much in Wiki. Can someone explain, how are people getting their BYOD devices?

Anyone have their personal hotspot working already? A Reddit thread said it's going to take until Apr 1 to get everyone's hotspot working.
Quote from kenpet :
It is working. Why April 1? The data allocation for Hotspot appears to be 70GB and not 50GB.
The Sprint employee who replied on Reddit said because there are a lot of accounts - that's why some don't see HotSpot working on their phones right away.

Here's the Sprint page (https://www.sprint.com/en/landings/covid-19.html) that says:

We're supporting customers by:
  • Providing Unlimited data for 60 days to customers with metered data plans (effective 3/18)
  • Giving 20 GB of free mobile hotspot to customers with hotspot-capable devices (effective 3/18)
  • Waiving per-minute toll charges for international long-distance calls from the U.S. to CDC- defined Level 3 countries (effective 3/17))

I've ported in line 1 using my Visible Moto E6 that I got free by trading in an old phone.
Line 2: I ordered a pre-owned LG Tribute Empire on Sprint web site for $49. To be delivered on Monday 3/23.
Line 3: I ordered from HSN a Sprint LG Stylo 4+ for $69.99 before $10 off for new customer, plus $5.50 shipping and $6 sales tax. To be delivered some time next week.

I think you have to get higher plan like maybe $100 monthly something to get Walgreens card as well? In additional $300 from Sprint. I signed up BYOD Kickstart plan 35$ monthly through a referral, so hopefully I get $50 referral credit and $300 promotion.

You'll get an email from Sprint saying "Nice work! A reward is coming your way...We'll send you another email when the reward is approved." when someone completed using the link you sent them.
Quote from akhere :
How did you create new account for updated link?

When i tried it said i already had acct so i used old link only..
i can confirm, once someone you have referred joins u get that email.

i can also confirm, for that those of u that joined the referral program circa 2017 .
..the old site doesnt appear to update with the newer referrals.

Sprint is still nonviable option based on my experience in South Florida. Once they merge with TMobile and they have access to their networks I may try again but the question is what will they do with the Sprint brand ?
