Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

For those wondering about credit union. This is the email I received before when I had applied for their offer, but then I was on free byod. But still this sentence is valid and look for it. Kickstarter does not qualify. registered for the Sprint Credit Union Member Cash Rewards program. 'This offer requires at least one line on your Sprint account to have active service on an Unlimited Plus or Premium plan'.
Is there a way to get in on the My Credit Union rewards if you didn't enter the phone number on the credit union's site before ordering? Like some way to register for that after the fact?

Port in does not need your sim card. Sprint needs to verify your IMEI to make your phone usable on their Network, then you can order Sprint new sim card for about 2.99 along with your port in order. Hope this helps.
I heard that if I want to take advantage of 5 lines for 100$ plan. I need to port in five numbers together as one transaction or I would be charged more for later porting in or even the system won't allow me to add the fourth or fifth line. Is that true?

If I can port out my number from boost mobile to t mobile and then port it back to sprint to take advantage of this 300$ promotion? As we known, boost mobile shared the network with sprint, I heard sprint has 60 days term limit, that means that my number has to be out of 60 days to be eligible for any sprint promotion. Is it true? If yes. Can I still use that device instead of the number to take advantage of this promotion? I don't know if sprint has limitations on devices? By the way, my device is fully unlocked to any carrier. I got unlocked from boost mobile already!!! Thank you so much for your support

A carrier can send out codes over-the-air (OTA) to lock/unlock a phone. I read posts in this thread that someone had their phones "re"locked by Sprint, which sounds like they were previously unlocked BY SPRINT (not the manufacturer) and now got "re"locked. I ported in my factory unlocked Visible Moto E6 on 3/14/20, and as of today it remains unlocked.
Phew I am about to Port out I wanted to make sure

I bought one kit from Best Buy on Sat 3/14. It's not listed on their site but I called them and ask if they had it (ask for Sprint Postpaid SIM Kit) and they said yes. So I drove there and bought it for $10 + Tax.
You can also order it from Sprint site for $3 with free overnight shipping by UPS. Although it says for iPhone 11, it's the same kit sold at Best Buy.

Your sprint link is for iphone 11, I need iphone 8. I couldn't find it in sprint website. Do you happen to have a link to the sim of iphone 8?

Try the Sprint BYOD checker. Enter your phone IMEI and then SIM # and see if they're accepted together. Should tell you if there is a problem with that SIM being used with that phone.

thanks.

However, I'm not looking to make the phone work, I just want my somewhat modern phones removed from my BYOD account and replaced with these ancient phones. So I'm guessing I dont need an MSL code if I dont need the phone to actually work?
They will still give u the msl code while u r swapping out the device...just keep them...but yes u don't need to do anything else since u r just parking the device on the line....and freeing up the good device for this promo...

Yes it's true and it's 45 days. You can re-use the device since they track the phone number. If you want to keep and use the number I would just port them to google voice and use those number on your phone through the google voice app. Then port them back sprint or another service once you get your GC.

Now I can't get through the payment page. My cards all have PO Box address, and Sprint "can't ship to a p.o.". And they have nothing to ship me. This wasn't a problem last year when BYOD was free. They just took my card # and that was that.

Tried some prepaid cards with street addresses, but Sprint doesn't like those either. Another difference is, Free BYOD had human CSRs taking orders, and they were motivated to get accounts. The website obviously doesn't care one way or the other.

And now it looks like they flagged me. It told me to call some 844-# to have a human finish my order, then my laptop overheated. I assume that this all has to be completed online, else the 300 bonus will be voided. Anyways it wont let me even try to order 1 byod anymore.

Fscking stupid. It was the same pobox and same cc# i used with them 6 months ago.
Find out what you street address is for PO Box.

I was able to use my PO Box's street address for shipping/billing.

I used an Amex card that didnt match billing address.

After I opened 3 lines and want to do a 4th line, it keeps telling me my payment declined even though I tried different credit cards. Any thoughts?
