Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Your sprint link is for iphone 11, I need iphone 8. I couldn't find it in sprint website. Do you happen to have a link to the sim of iphone 8?
Use the link below to look up the SIM part # needed for your phone. The SIM kit sold by Best Buy and Sprint contains the following 4 SIMS. I see the SIM needed for an iphone 8 is in that kit.

After I opened 3 lines and want to do a 4th line, it keeps telling me my payment declined even though I tried different credit cards. Any thoughts?
what plan are you on?

I think there's a bug in their system. on my 1st 2 KS plans, I can't add a line, something about credit check. Even chat CSR couldn't help.

I ended up opening an Unlimited Plus account with 5 lines for $100.

I have gone ahead with 5 lines on $35 kickstart plan, registered for 5 x $300 rebates. The question is when to cancel the 3 lines I don't need and still get the rebate? After 90 days of service or wait for confirmation the rebate is approved?

Can you explain your math a little? I assume you are talking about doing 5 separate orders (having 5 lines all on separate accounts)?
Thats right.

I had to call a local Sprint store employee to get the full details on this plan. I've never used Sprint and don't know anyone who has so I'm a bit leery based on their reputation for poor cell and customer support. Can't speak to the cell plan service yet as I'm not quite signed all the way up but the customer service is a nightmare. I got better information and service by dealing with the local store.

This promo ends on 4/9/20, as stated. Once signed up you must submit your rebate for the $300 card by 5/10/20, also as stated.

Other details:
-You can only get 1 $300 rebate per ACCOUNT.

-You can have more than 1 ACCOUNT per address. So if you have a roommate or relative w/ the same address you both can get the $300 card if you have separate accounts. You can't share accounts and both get the $300 rebate. Only one of you would get the $300 if you choose to share an account w/ someone.

-This is a BYOD plan and therefore your phone should not be locked onto Sprint as you did not source the phone from them. The person I spoke to said he's worked for Sprint for years and he's never heard of a BYOD device being locked to Sprint.

-The link above gave me considerable issues ordering. The process stalled at the credit check. I believe my credit reports are now locked because of the Experian data breach and I didn't remember before trying to use the self-service site at the link above to order. Their system first tried to get their chat bot to verify me and she got confused. I ended up calling the number the credit error gave me and that individual was offshore and couldn't understand I was not calling to activate service but because of a credit check error. I ended up being transferred to a corporate sales rep who created an account for me, waived the credit check, and approved me for 5 lines of service. He then ordered the Sim card for me. He's supposed to call me back when it arrives to sign me up for the plan & activate the account. He assured me that even though I didn't go through the self-service system I could still get the promo. We'll see.

-I've been given 3 different time frames to receive the rebate card. The employee at the store says it usually takes 60 days, however, the official literature says 13-15 weeks, and I've also been told 90 days by the chat BOT. So, to be on the safe side expect 90 days. The terms and conditions say you must maintain on-time payments, in full and an active phone line for the full 90 days to get the card so I'm setting up autopay to make sure there aren't any interruptions in service where they can try to deny the $300 rebate.

-The Kickstarter BYOD plan is $40/month with a $5 discount for autopay bringing the total to $35/month + taxes and fees. They're waiving the $35 activation fee via the self-service site or via phone.

-The Kickstarter plan is unlimited Talk, Tex, and Data. They do not throttle data after you use so many gigabytes like other carriers. Instead they prioritize your data when you are in the proximity of other Sprint users. Those users who have used the least data are given priority on the network. I was given the example that if I use 50GB and some other Sprint user I'm near has only used 10 GB then they are given priority on the network but this should only be noticeable if you are in a very densely populated area or crowded stadium, etc. Don't know how true that is.

Hope these little extra bits of info will help someone else like me who has never dealt with Sprint before and don't quite know how they operate.

Can anyone confirm how long I have to have been away from sprint to sign back up and qualify for this? We left after the 1-year free ended, maybe around a month ago, sometime after the superbowl for mint when they did their free 3-month promo but already left for cricket because tmobile was so bad. We had pretty good service with sprint before and would buy a new phone and take the $300 to mitigate the cost.

I read the first 13 or 15 pages of the thread and didn't see the answer before I realized how many pages there were. Thanks!

Thank you! I didn't know if there was a 90 day or 6 month waiting period before being eligible for promos.

I've read so many comments I just don't remember- if I buy an iphone XR or 11 from them it can/will be unlocked, but does it support Verizon bands so I can then take the phone to total wireless prepaid?

unfortunately, thats the issue..

no one (not even sprint reps ) really knows for sure the exact terms of the deal

best is read about others experience and, use your best judgement.
