Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

So I have a stack of Blue Beat Digital red sims that wont work on any of my phones. I should have ordered blue or pink (att or tmo) because apparently all my phones work with them but not Verizon. I always find a way to screw up, its an unbelievable skill I have.

That's likely. If you had activated the SIM, the phone number became yours, and even when your Visible was suspended due to non-payment (after the 1st month), Visible still preserve that number for you in case you want to come back. But if you never activated that number, it was never "active", and probably got re-assigned to someone else by now.
The only way to know if you "own" that number is to chat with Visible. Their Chat reps are quite friendly and helpful.

I actually "own" the number and was using it on the last day before the account was suspended. I did not receive the sprint sim until yesterday. So, when I activated the sim, my visible account was already suspended due to non-payment. The port for initiated on Friday.

it weird for my unlocked iphone which never sign up any sprint service except I tried to use sprint sim to activate TEXTNOW free service, but it didn't success. I guess it's that used sim P/N not for my iphone

Now I tried IMEI to this offer, it shown not eligible for BYOD since it has been activated to sprint
service.

this phone still unlocked since I can use as Mint or Tmobile sim

Any solution for that?

thx
I ran into similar issue, possibly. I opened a textnow account which requires a sprint SIM. Once that gets attached to your phone (although it sounds like you were unsuccessful), it gets activated on Sprint's network. So I had to cancel my account at textnow and it released my phone about 10 minutes later.

Also, I had moved to mint service on that phone, which is why I was confused that it still showed sprint on sprints IMEI checker. But cancelling textnow did the trick for me

Thanks for this update. I have two Visible numbers in the same state (I wanted the free e6 phones). I guess I will just buy numbers off eBay as previously planned.

It's funny 😂 that Megan is a bot, I asked her if she is same person I chatted to the day before, she said no, there is another Megan. I want to confirm how many $300 I get, she said upto 1500 each account. Of course, it doesn't matter who says what, no one knows what happens after 90 days, you may get 300 each line, you may get 300 each account, or you may get 0 due to covid-19 or other technicality error. Megan said I can get upto 500$ for refer 10 people to Sprint and each new person get $50 extra as well in additional the $300 BYOD promotion, bottom line is, I don't know for sure until we get it. Lol
I dated Megan in college, she good as her word.

Your statement "So, when I activated the sim, my visible account was already suspended due to non-payment" is unclear. Which SIM is "the sim"? If it's the Sprint SIM, the fact that your Visible account was suspended is not a problem.

Hopefully this clarify the confusion:

3/20 - signed up for Sprint service and initiated the porting of the number from my visible account. My visible account was suspended at midnight due to non-payment.
3/23 - received and activated the Sprint SIM received in the mail.
3/24 - signed up for Sprint online account and it is showing port in status as pending

have you tried calling sprint?

if it's multiple lines, you need to call in anyway to give account info.

Contact TEXTNOW make sure they release/cancel your Free number and SIM associated with the number. It happened to me when I tested it on my unlocked phone with Sprint SIM.

Activated a prepaid service yesterday to use for port in. Is it fine to go ahead and port today and any suggestion on how much time to wait before starting the port in process to Sprint?

what plan are you on?

I think there's a bug in their system. on my 1st 2 KS plans, I can't add a line, something about credit check. Even chat CSR couldn't help.

I ended up opening an Unlimited Plus account with 5 lines for $100.
It looks like Unlimited Plus is $150/mo for 5 lines.

So if I'm bringing in two lines to Sprint (from Tmobile & AT&T) - do I have to setup separate accounts for each line or can they both be on the same one?

There is a special promotion going on which is not showing up on the main page. Every line gets $10/month additional discount for port in / BYOD. It shows up when actually going through the ordering process.

1 KS in my name
1 KS in SO's name
1 Unlimited Plus in my name but PO box street address
So i'm assuming the 2 KS are no credit check accounts and the unlimited plus is credit check account?
