Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I think I'll jump on this today but wondering three more things...

1. Whats the minimum age for a Sprint account holder? I'm either using my kids (8 and 4) for lines 4 and 5 or I'm creating two people.

2. Since we cannot refer ourselves, isnt it a bit suspicious to Sprint to see most of the people I referred are at my address?

3. Is it best not to reuse any old usernames or email addresses used in the past with Sprint? Even if its been a few years?

1. it might be 18, you can change year, but if you need some sort of ID verification down the road, you might run into issues.

2. I've referred people in the same address.

3. it will tell you if you can't reuse old usernames or email when you sign up for account

Do we think that having just the IMEI and not the device in hand will work? If so how would you activate the sim without inserting into the phone?

You cannot refer yourself (same name, same email), but Sprint encourages you to refer friends and family members, even at the same physical address.

I've done it, but I had 5 lines. I didn't have one phone in had, but had IMEI and ICCID. I just let Sprint port & activate device and the number was ported and in Sprint's eyes the phone was activated. The sim was never inserted.

I wouldn't recommend it if it was only one line.

If would be for lines 3-5. I have 2 phones that will get fully switched. I'm just nervous that the sim needs to be inserted and communicate with sprint. I guess I could ask their customer service

it should work, all that needs to happen is for the number to be ported and 'activated'

Mine didn't communicate with sprint and was still 'activated'

How about same name, but different email and CC?

I don't know. If Sprint challenges it, you can say all your friends and family members have the same name Smilie.

Do we get to choose the date of activation or port-in? Don't want to go through the credit check to find out.

Still have a few days left with my current carrier.

It will be quick if there are no errors. You don't get to choose a date. Activation and port in will most likely be the same day unless you are ordering a sim/phone.

There's isn't a way to preset a date, but you can control it somewhat. With my line 1, I had the BYOP phone, SIM, porting info, and my Visible account was running out a few days later. So I provided all the info during the ordering process and the port took place right away. With my line 2, it was a pre-owned phone coming from Sprint. Although I had provided all the porting info, the port didn't take until I received the phone and called the Activation line.
Depending on your current carrier, don't cut it too close or your might lose your number after your service days run out.

Thanks, Yeah all the carrier branded S10/e/+ should have been added once BYOD firmware was released(about Sept 2019). Not sure why some are getting incompatible message. They could probably contact Sprint to fix, but not always easy to find help with that. The unlocked unbranded versions are compatible from release date of phone.
So can we able to make s10 compatible with Sprint now. How.. mine is TMobile version

My unlocked T-Mobile S10 works just fine with Sprint. I didn't have to do anything other than get it unlocked.
