Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Transferred a couple GV numbers and was only asked number and pin. Account number is the phone number itself and pin is last 4 digits of the number. That's all they asked and porting took less than a min. Make sure you pay $3 to unlock the GV number if not you won't be able to port out.
I got my GV number a long time ago. Don't recall ever setting/using the PIN. How can find my GV PIN? Searching the Internet and all the instructions seem to be obsolete (I clicked on Setting and only saw the Voicemail "button", no Voicemail & Text tab, no Legacy Google Voice tab). I keft a voicemail on my GV number then tried to retrieve it, but couldn't access my GV voicemail box by press * during the greeting, enter the last 4 digits of my GV number and press #. Any help appreciated.

: Where can i get a number to port?

one good option is Google Voice

be sure to get a phone number from major city that has good Sprint coverage or u will get rare message "phone number not portable" you can check on the sprint map

Go to https://www.google.com/voice/b/0/unlock and unlock your Google Voice number, which will cost $3 and is payable online by card
Set a voicemail pin here https://www.google.com/voice/b/0#...ilsettings - you will need this pin in order to finish the porting
You account number will be your 10 digit phone number and the PIN is your voicemail pin that you'll set. In case you are activating over phone, tell the associate your existing provider is bandwidth.com.
https://support.google.com/voice/...67#xferout

If you've never set your pin or if you want to try to change it, this worked for me.
Change your PIN
On your computer, open Google Voice.
At the top left, open Menu Menu and then Legacy Google Voice. Google Voice will look different, but you're in the right place.
At the top right, click Settings Settings and then Settings.
Click the "Voicemail & Text" tab.
Next to "Voicemail PIN," enter and confirm your new PIN.
At the bottom, click Save changes.

If the gaining carrier is requesting the zip code: use 94043
If the gaining carrier is requesting an address then you need to use the full street address:
1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043

PORT STATUS AND COMPLETION INFO:
Google Voice seemed stuck in porting limbo for over a day. Found this link which gave status and aid to call in. 5min later its ported and activated
https://shop2.sprint.com/en/wlnp/check.shtml
Call: 866-437-1818
** Google Voice (bandwidth.com) is considered a landline phone provider, and may take up to 3 days to port. If you call the # above, they will do it right away for you.

has anybody able to port in an expired visible number? mine expired a couple of days ago....damn...!
I did port out from a suspended account from Visible. The process went without trouble. Was worried because I have never received email from Sprint for the port status. But after active my SIM, I received email from Visible saying Thank you and Good Bye. Your customer ID is your account No. and everyone know the PIN they used..

Thanks, I finally got it done, not easy to find with all the changes in GV menus and obsolete instructions.

Ooook......but how to claim AA miles without losing referral ($50), TCB ($80), and rebate ($300)? Don't you have to start from the sign up page from AAdvantage?
For me Advantage was denied for no credit check option....email said only credit options are allowed.

Am hoping this is not the case for $300 rebate as well.

Thanks for this more positive info. At least I'll have a backup plan using GV number if porting out from my suspended Visible account doesn't work tomorrow.

Say I am OK with credit check, what's the steps/route to claiming AA miles without losing other benefits?

You will find it out after you active your SIM. Could be 10-15 min. after that.

there is a discussion or disagreement about this on this forum a while ago, not sure no credit check will disqualify the $300 bonus, i did the no credit check with just my DOB and name address etc, i am sure they checked my credit without hard pull due to this is not a prepaid account even though no contract, i filed my $300 rebate and get a tracking#, but who knows they will pay out or not after 90 days? I guess if you want to be more sure, let them do the hard pull one.
I am in the same boat. I actually tried the credit check option but ran into issues so did the no credit check option.

AA miles was denied. I hope $300 rebate for which I currently have tracking numbers will not be denied.

After you log in to your Visible account, go to Privacy & Security, click on Manage, and click first + sign. That customer ID number is your account number. Double check it to see it matches the one CS gave to you.
