does anyone know if the phones need to be turned on and activated with the sim card or I can just activate 1 line out of 5 and just leave the other sim cards activated, but not actually in used? Anyone knows? I might try IMEIs of like 3 broken phones I have and would like to know if anyone knows if this is ok.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

That's the same Porting/Activation number given in the instructions for my Sprint pre-owned phone. It was answered right away. I got a pretty competent rep, she was also patient while I was trying to sort out some acct info that I got mixed up.
I have called that number 8 times over the past 3 years to expedite porting of GV numbers for the Sprint BYOD Free lines. And everytime it was less than 5 minutes. Obviously now the circumstances are different with pandemic raging on and fewer people working.

I currently have a free year line with Sprint that ends next month. I think I signed up with credit check for that line.

Do I need to port-out before I start a new account with credit check? In other words, can I have two active accounts under the same SSN?

Edit: found my answer in r/Sprint from a Sprint rep - one account per SSN.

Ok, thanks but didn't get much from it. You didn't use sim on any phone? Also, the fact that is pending doesn't mean it will approved. Just asked so that anyone who has done a similar deal in the past to chime in. Thanks for any help.

Yes, I believe so."Your device will activate with all applicable Sprint settings during the activation and provisioning process." This is after you insert the sim card and power on the phone.

What settings do I pick to ensure I obtain T-Mobile coverage when sprint is poor or there is none? I don't want to be paying extra fees but not sure how to setup my phone for the correct phone and data "roaming" on T-Mobile (is that free?)

Kind of confusing.

Thank you!

if it's one line, no need to call in, you will provide port details at sign up.

no one has figured this out, this must be a bug on sprint's side.

I still have about a month and a half left with Mint, but I found a good deal on a Sprint-enabled phone, so I bought it. Can I get a temporary phone number for it and use it for the activation and port in? Then when my Mint service expires I can switch over my actual number to it?
