Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

How do you tell if they have locked your phone to them?
Put in a non-Sprint SIM. If the phone accepts it, the phone is not locked to Sprint. If it says "Invalid SIM" or something similar, the phone is locked to Sprint.

FWIW, I ported in an unlocked Visible Moto E6 on 3/14 and as of today it still accepts a Tracfone AT&T SIM and works (you don't need an active SIM for this test). Either Sprint likes me or Sprint hates "Ilovegoodeal" Smilie. Other people in this thread said their Sprint-branded phones that were unlocked by Sprint when they left Sprint got re-locked when they came back to Sprint; but their non-Sprint-branded phones were never locked by Sprint.

Same here, I ported an unlocked Sprint iPhone 6 and have been swapping Sprint & Mint Mobile Sims, so YMMV if the phones will be locked again

Question for anyone that has multiple rounds. I have done 1 no credit check already. So my options would be a credit check account for me or another non credit check with SO. Same address would not be a problem? Also what about max $300 rebate per address, it only states 5 per account. Using same address OK for that? Thanks in advance

If you have followed offer terms to the letter—never been prior Sprint customer, telephone number/s never before on Sprint, account opened with credit check—you should have no problems, and even if you do, are well-positioned to seek justice through Sprint or FCC.

Many problems on SD relate to people working unusual angles, stacking, creative interpretation of rules, etc. Those who play that game know that it's hit or miss, but still sometimes throw tantrums that can give lay folk the impression that things are not working, when in fact they are working exactly as laid out.
In my case only telephone number had been used on sprint about until mid January. The family member has given me this number now, so not sure if it would be OK or not. Same household, same number, but different person, email etc...

I've opened two accounts, under my name and wife's name, different email addresses, same street address. No max limit on $300 GC per street address, only per account.

There is an alternative option.

For many Android phones, you can check UICC status. My Samsung Galaxy J7 Perx shows UICC as SIM unlocked. ZTE showed it was locked and i got it unlocked easily.

For iPhone I checked with Apple and they confirmed it was unlocked.

So u don't need to have another carrier SIM to check this.

I think this is the key, basically Sprint phones have a chance to be re-locked, others perhaps not. I don't even think re-lock would be possible for Iphones of any flavor. None of the phones I had used (non-Sprint) have been re-locked as of today.

So are you able to open 2 accounts under 1 SS number.....1 with credit check and 1 without credit check?
From my understanding SS number is still required for no credit check....right?

No. For no credit check, the SSN can be all 9s. They just need your name and maybe DOB to see if you owe them any money.

I created an account with 4 lines, all Kickstart. Been almost 2 weeks since I activated those.
Now I plan to create another account with 1 line, Kickstart. Same name, of course. Do you think that will work?
I dont know, but I've been wondering myself what name to use if I open another account.
