Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Thanks for the info. Not very certain on the 45 days policy for phone number. I might mess up it with new Sprint account requirement.
Might doable, from reading the post, my understanding is Sprint will consider "New Customer" after 45 + days but you cannot use the same number to be able to qualify for the $300 promo

I got from TMobile and it's unlocked now but shows can't be activated by Sprint when entered it's imei

Suppose if I use IMEI alone and after port and activation completed and wants to switch later with another boost locked device will there be any issue like I need any info from IMEI like sms in it to switch to new device
I thought earlier you said Sprint locked your TMo S10 -- if the phone still works with other carriers then its not locked

If Sprint says your IMEI isn't compatible with its network then they can't do anything to your phone -- S10 should have carrier switching by now so make sure your Android system is updated to latest version and you have the correct 516TQ Sprint sim

that web link accepts any random number...
Are you a referrer or a referee? I'm a referrer, and when I used that site I could check the status of the people who had used my referral. Of course, all of them are still in PENDING status because Sprint won't determine Yes or No until 30 days have passed since a line was activated. See screenshots below.

Any chance that it's just that their activation process made some (reversible) changes to your phone's network configuration? I keep reading from people who say that Sprint locked their unlocked (non-Sprint) phone but it sounds so weird. Maybe it can be undone manually (maybe through the developer interface)?
We don't know how/why it happens and it is very rare, but the few affected are loud on these boards, even though no one here can do anything about their poor luck. If your phone should not have been locked, Sprint will work with you to unlock it again, but some get upset about the frustration of this extra work.

It cannot be undone self-service, even if you have advanced tech skills. Sprint must send an unlock code over the network.

If I have a line ported out from Sprint about 75 days ago, and port back to Sprint again, does it mean it still not be qualified for $300?
If you port back the same number that was previously on Sprint at any time, you may not get the $300 per terms.

45-day rule is for being considered a new account, not a new number.

I put in my number and get "Thanks - your referral has been registered. We just need to run some checks on your account. Keep your account in good standing for 30 days and your $50 Prepaid Mastercard will be on its way." I also get this when I put in any random number. Shouldn't it only work for sprint numbers, and it should give more status

This is one of the reasons I avoided referral. My privacy >>>> $50.
