Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

for people you signed up for this offer, how long did it take for your order to be processed? I already have the sim card when I placed the port-in order but its still pending since yesterday. So looking for some recent experiences. TIA
When I placed my online order on 3/14/20, I had the SIM and BYOD phone on-hand. I entered all the phone. SIM, porting info (phone number, acct #, PIN). The phone was activated about 10 minutes after submitting my order, and my previous carrier (Visible) sent me an email saying "Sorry to see you go". Call Sprint Porting Dept at 866-437-1818 and they'll help you.

Initiate a chat session to get started. That's how I did it. All five lines were completed (activated/ported #) in a reasonable amount of time.

Have account # / PIN for numbers to be ported readily available to speed up the process.
I tried that , but I was redirected to contact order support team over phone. Their wait time was long so did not wait. I was looking to get the activation completed online.

just one for now. Their wait time is long. Doesn't the online transfer/port-in work?

I did an online chat to try and get my account number to create online login but the chat rep wasn't able to see it fully -- rep did help finish the number porting then get my account number:

If you can get your online login working then it might have pending port request on there which you can finish submitting yourself (unless the chat rep is willing to do it for you)

The wait for order support is longer than the wait for the Porting Dept. When I called Porting Dept on Monday last week to port in my 2nd line, it was answered right away. Their function is mainly to port in numbers, so each call is shorter than the average call with the Order Support.

Argh, I got the same thing trying to make an account with a credit check. What did you ultimately do?

I spoke with Sprint, but they also couldn't create the account. I finally got off the phone with the CSR. I'll try later to create a no credit check account. Hopefully, entering the phone and SIM numbers didn't cause any problems to resubmit the account.

[Update] The website shows Credit Error in the tab and the website url is "https://www.sprint.com/content/sprint/sprint_com/us/en/shop/credit-error.html". Looks like the site had a problem running the credit check.

I hit the same issue. The funny thing is when I tried the first time (no credit check), it passed check. But as I forgot to place order through cb site, I closed the tab and restarted the process. The second time, it blocked me and I got credit error page. Called phone number listed, but they cannot resolve the credit error issue and asked me to drop by a local store. Worst system.

Any workaround is appreciated.

Did you guys get this resolved? I have the same issue with the "credit error"

Btw these are usually only for existing accounts. Had like three deals I was eligible for and after god knows how many hours in the phone of telling me I am eligible just wait and I'm not eligible, they finally just told me that these are usually just for those with existing plans. They gave me some credit on my phone bill , I cancelled afterwards.

WTF are you talking about?

I was a brand new user, opened five BYOD lines, and have already received confirmation that my rebates are being processed. Zero time on the phone.

So, the Sprint rep. couldn't get my wife's SSN to work, and I was ineligible since I had just ported out of Sprint. The Sprint rep told me I could go on-line to try a no credit check account, but I got the same error. I was later told by a different Sprint CSR that my wife was locked out of Sprint's system for 60 days because I had tried signing up multiple times.

I ended up using my adult, college age son's SSN to start a new account. Fortunately, he has had his own credit card for about 6 months, so he had a credit score. The Sprint CSR wanted to charge a $30 activation fee per line if I started a no-credit check account.

$30 fee gets put on bill credit within 3 months with no credit check option, at least for online orders. FWIW
