Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

  1. Register Sprint referral link for +$50
  2. Go to BF cashback website (no special link needed)
  3. Click Sprint link-out from BF for +$125
  4. When you land at Sprint, click magnifying glass top-right of screen and search for "Tribute Empire"
  5. You get three search results, click on middle one, which should be $49 one that is in-stock
  6. Then, just follow checkout process and select a plan that indicates "Switch To Sprint + Get $300" under "Show More Features and Offers"
  7. After you receive order confirmation email, file $300 rebate per instructions in that email
Important that you start from BF, because that is the source of $125 that makes the $49 phone "free".

So it's 129 on top of every line I order a Tribune phone. Why is this phone so special and do other phones give you let's say pixel 3 xl ($300 - 125)? Also was the Sprint referral link higher a few days ago or it always stayed at $50?

Yes, $125 for each line with phone, per BF linkout detail.
Nothing special about Tribute Empire, except that it maximizes free cashback net of phone cost. You get same $125 cashback with any phone.
Sprint referral has always been $50. Be sure you use a link from a full-paid account not a Sprint Free BYOD account, since latter will not credit, per terms.

I'm wondering can I use my own referral , I have a tablet line with them but planning on opening on another household name. And checking BF looks like you need to buy a phone specifically, would I get (5*125) for each phone I buy and would I have to click that link every single time when adding a new line? Also is it better to do no credit check or do a credit run, seems like you don't get activation fees waived if you do no credit check. Please correct me if I'm wrong on anything

Yes, you can referral to different name in household.
With credit-run, you may be able to stack some additional offers (see thread wiki)
Activation fees are also waived for no-credit-check accounts.
Many have confirmed that you get 5 x $80 when ordering 5 lines in single transaction. Presume same would hold true, if you order 5 x phone + line.

How would I personally know if I get 5 * 125 per phone?

Please don't tell me all the time I've spent reading and pondering this deal I've misinterpreted one of the primary terms.

By 'previously activated phone numbers may not be eligible for this offer' are they referring to:
a.) numbers previously activated for this $300 promo offer.
b.) numbers previously activated on Sprint (for ex. on the Free BYOD offer)?
To be absolutely safe, assume that they mean number never previously on Sprint. Acquiring new customers from other carriers is the intention of this expensive promotion for Sprint.

That said, it's possible they may have a more lenient standard, but no one will know for sure till 90-days from now.

Carrier coverage varies by area. In my area, Sprint is far superior to Visible.

Thank you. You are saying this limit is specifically for this promotion or in general? What happens if I just create a second no credit check account (different email, but same name and address)? The system doesn't allow or (most likely) the promotion will be denied? Because for the promotion, creating a credit check account still means I'm not a new customer (I already have a no credit check account). If you could clarify, as you seem to be knowledgeable. Thanks!
Sprint considers a new account number to be analogous to new customer.
When you have one credit-check account and one no-credit check account, each will have a different account number.
Only one account number can be tied to a given SSN, which implies one can only have single credit-check account.
No-credit-check is tied to name and DOB and checked against public records. I don't know if this leads to an implied restriction of one account.
