Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Visible will hold an unpaid account in 'Suspend' state for at least 50 days. This allows the owner to make a payment and restart service, it also means you can port out.

At least 4-5 of us in this thread successfully ported out of a lapsed Visible account. I did it on March 27, YamahaRick did it a day or two after that, someone else did it a day or two ago.

I dont think that would help too. Give it a shot.

Did you try buying phones online with your info plugged in and then backed off a couple of time. IF that was the case the system put a fraud alert on your information. The alert will come off but probably not in time for this deal.
I might have done that but not 100% sure.
I just added a line with an Ebay at&t number activated on my own phone & sim and all went well.

You will need to port your existing Sprint number in to Google Voice ($20) and then get another number to port in to Sprint as well as another account holder in order to qualify for the 300 GC.

Thanks, so there is no way I can keep my current number? It is linked to a lot of my personal accounts

FYR. You can port to GV and use new number from eBay to port in as new number in Sprint.

These sprint online agents are killing me.

Agent: please provide your account number:
me: I already did in phone#, pin, account number.
Agent: please provide your account number from your previous carrier
Me: I told you its phone#, pin, account number from the previous carrier

I'm dealing with them online because I tried asking for my account number, but they won't provide me it (telling me its waiting port process and no account number generated).

You can call the porting department and they will port the number into sprint for you. The other alternative is to chat and get your account number and then you can log in and enter the port info.
Where to enter the port info on sprint.com?

You mean this?
To get account number, look on the packing slip if you got the sims through Sprint. Or, open a conversation with online chat support. May wait up to 30 mins.
Ask them for your account number so you can setup your online account. You may be asked for your confirmation number and passcode.
Setup your online account.

I already did, I gave them confirmation number and pin. They said they accessed my account but its in porting stage and no account number. Not sure if this agent is stupid.

Not sure what your question is. People use the GV number and forward it to the mobile. The problem with this is your outgoing call from the native number will be different so you'd have to use the GV dialer (VoIP).

The problem I've experience with this (forwarding) is that there is a lag before the number forwarded to rings...long enough that a lot of people hang up. But do people still make voice calls? LMAO

Got it. Thanks. GV dialer is the only option if I don't want to share new number to my contacts.

Ok. That step which I mentioned was helpful after port in and created profile with OTP from new number.

Some of us have interpreted the rules to mean that even if you port out and port back right away, Sprint will consider that a number that was previously active on Sprint. There's probably a minimum number of days the number has to be gone, possibly 45.

Either port to GV, or port to a cheap prepaid carrier that isnt a Sprint MVNO, or maybe park your number at number barn.
