Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

How does the cheap prepaid carrier work? Won't sprint recognize my device and number once I try to port back in even under difference account holder?
I was thinking of places you could park your phone number. You will need a new phone number and either port your current number to google voice or find a place to park your number for a few months.

Sounds like you have a good plan. Don't forget to use a referral if you are new to Sprint.

I activated two G7 phones with no issue. But it was using new sims from Sprint. I might ask that question in a chat session with Sprint.
I know the G7 works on Sprint... my G7 was registered with my Sprint account through January 2020. I'd like to replace one of the LG phones with my G7 in the next couple months, but not sure if that will trigger a red flag/refusal of the promo because the phone was previously activated on a Sprint account (account has been closed for over 60 days).

I was just about to pull the trigger on x2 Kickstarter lines with BYOD, however…

..I'm now just tempted to buy 5 of the cheapest pre-owned phones from Sprint on the Unlimited Plus plan along with the BF $125 per phone CB. I wasn't following all the details on going that route ... so a few questions:

a.) Sprint's pre-owned phones do not include phone numbers correct? I'll still need to buy 5 phone numbers (for ex. ATT on eBay) to port the phones in with?
b.) Can purchase of 5 pre-owned phones and Unlimited Plus be done reliably with the No Credit Check option?
c.) Alternately, anyone know which credit reporting agency Sprint uses? I don't foresee a problem if I need to go with the credit check route, however I'd have to put in a request for the credit reporting agencies to unfreeze my reports, which may take additional time, which is running out.
d.) Is there any way to use my Moto G7 on any of the newly registered 5 line Unlimited Plus accounts? Can I swap out one of the cheap LG Empire/Tribute (or whatever) phones after the service is up and running, or do those phones need to used for the full 90 days to qualify for the promo?

Thanks again deal meisters!
a. No, yes
B. Yes
C. I don't know. Do the no credit check option.
D. No one knows for sure but I would be surprised if you couldn't swap out a device for another.

It would be difficult for sprint to implement automated checks like that because you could have sold the phone.

That's exactly what he's saying, Sprint will know and it won't work... unless you have ported out for a long enough time (45 days) that Sprint will consider you a new customer.

He needs to use the old number so parking is not an option. He'll need to port to GV for $20.

Ahh gotcha, so it won't be immediate and mostly call forwarding from google voice to use my old number?

With my order on 3/14, they pulled from Experian.

You can BUT you won't get the $300 Smilie

But honestly, GV will work fine for you, I've been using it for almost 15 years!

No because he would still have the same old number. The idea is that you port your phone number to Google voice and then get a new number probably from buying it on eBay and use that number to port to Sprint. Then you set up google voice to forward your calls to your new cell phone number.

I have one KS plan, and wanted to sign up for another KS plan in a separate account. I get the message others to call to complete order(the tab is titles credit error). I also tried no credit check, with my, and brother's name, another computer, and my main computer using the Edge browser, without any luck.

I am not willing to pass on cashback, and was really only planning one anyway, so on to the next deal.

Thanks, that is what I assumed. My parents would not like this. Guess I'll have to pass on this
