Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

After submitting the rebate, I didn't get any confirmation emails.

Did any of you get any mails?

Yes, I got the email with the title Your Promotion Information, which has a link to track your $300 GC claim.

I was getting error during placing the order, so decided to call them so that they can run credit check. But after running the credit check they are asking me to go to store with 2 IDs. Did anybody face same issue?

The experts here are mostly Sprint, but they will chime in too...

Aren't those credits dependent on having service? if you cancel service, they might stop those credits.

Well that's why is mentioned in the thread to call before cancelling and arrange to keep paying th he EIP, just trying to see if someone had a similar experience

Question for the experts

I port from tmobile and have a pixel EIP $5 a month payments ($20 total - $15 credits) I should get a monthly bill with the same right?

As reference from the deal

https://slickdeals.net/f/13067314-t-mobile-offer-google-pixel-3a-w-an-eligible-smartphone-trade-in-up-to-400-off-via-24-monthly-bill-credits

"I call them up, make arrangements to continue the device payments and cancel my service.
Each month I get a bill for 16.67 for the phone, and a credit for 16.67, net bill of zero. FREE with trade-in.

The only way it's not free is if you're too lazy to read and comprehend, and you cancel service without contacting them to arrange to continue the device payments first."
What I recalled from that deal was that if the line gets cancelled, then you would not be able to get more monthly credit. So no line=no credit.

Hello,

I need help from the experts. I ported 5 lines from T-Mobile to Sprint today. 4 out of 5 lines are working great. When I tried to insert a Sim I bought from Sprint into my Samsung Galaxy S8 unlocked cell phone, I am getting an error "Invalid SIM card – Network Locked SIM card Inserted". This phone I used in T-Mobile service until today at around 4 PM. I ported the numbers at around 5 PM today. What am I missing here?

That means your S8 is locked to a carrier other than Sprint. Are you sure your S8 is unlocked? Is it factory unlocked? Is it branded by any carrier?

My wild guess just based in the error is either 1) your phone is not truly unlocked 2) the phone is incompatible with Sprint network. The message alone seems to suggest 1

I did a search on: Invalid SIM card – Network Locked SIM card Inserted

and it says your phone is most likely locked by TMobile? do you have an unlocked phone?

restart your phone, restore network settings meanwhile, enter this phone's IMEI here https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...print.html to check the compatibility of phone, if yes, and it should show a SIM card number in all digits then the SIM card part number since you said this phone is activated with a SIM card.

Insert SIM card from other carriers into this phone to see if the phone takes it, such as att, Verizon or vmno not related to tmobile.

Are you sure this phone was unlocked? I am assuming you have already tried a network reset. If not —-> From home, swipe up to access Apps.
Tap Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.
Tap Reset settings, and confirm when prompted.

When I did the IMEI check at the sprint website, it said my phone was eligible for BYOD promotion. I bought that phone in the open market and it was almost 2 years old.
