Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Does anyone have a clear directive regarding Sprint's policy on changing a device and number after the account is activated?
I bought 5 pre-owned LG Tribute Empire pre-owned phones from Sprint and am transferring ebay ATT numbers. Waiting to take receipt of phones, complete port-in and activation.

A friend has an unlocked iPhone with an IMEI that's compatible with this offer. After all my LG phones are ported and activated, if he gets a Sprint SIM can I replace one of the LG phones with his iPhone & number, without jeopardizing any of the promo terms and the $300?
I'd say that's not a problem to change phone, but change phone and # may cause issues down the road, the truth is NO one knows for sure until after 90 days regardless what sprint rep or here's data point says. i guess we play at our own risk.

I was not able to get the call number to complete order resolved(tried changing address, names, credit check versus no credit check, different web browsers, incognito, and via chat).

I know you can still make money without the cashback site, but I am just not willing to do it, when I know it is there. I was really only trying the 2nd account to see if I could do it, re ferring from my 1st account, adding the refurb phone, to what I did for my own account.

Thanks for all the suggestions
I said I gave up, but could not help myself. I tried a few more things, including calling the number to ask if they could get the account unflagged, without setting up the account over the phone.

I finally asked a friend if I could use his address. I tried the real name, my brother, with my friends address, and still no go. I used my roommate's name, with my friends address, and made it all the way through, but it requires the billing address to match the account address. I was not going to ask my friend to use his card so cancelled out. I tried my roommate's name, with our address, and it failed, That means that both the name, and address were flagged, maybe email address, and phone numbers too.

I have no idea why I was flagged, when I only have one credit checked account, with one number, when so many have really pushed it? Anyway now I am really done.

when you do the byod you bring a device or buy one outright however there is a sprint processing delay which can be capitalized on in the meantime by the time they ship their SIM card to you and by the time the line shows up in the dashboard. However the order summary shows your byod portin number
I'm a bit familiar with it but not sure how that applies here.

Sure you can take advantage of it, but if you are also after the $300 rebate, don't come here crying that you got rejected. The terms clearly state, BYOD or purchase the device.

Anyone with more experience feel free to chime in. I'm on round 3 of the 5/100 and noticed a lot of things along the way any 2nd rounders?

Purely speculation. You were flagged based on your IP address. Some of those names and addresses were probably okay, but are now flagged because they tied it to your IP.

That is why I give up after a couple of failed attempts, every time it fails, the new info is tied with the old and eventually everything is flagged!!! Not good.

I ordered 5 phones today from Sprint this morning.
Their website says tracking number states: Ready To Ship.

Question:
Is account number already generated with my purchase/new account? How do I access it?
Am I eligible at this point to send a friend a referral from my account? How/where?

(In the past years I've had two previous accounts with Sprint for the Free BYOD).

Also: are Sprint SIM kits for current iPhones actually arriving overnight (NYC)? I'd like top refer a friend interested in the Kickstart plan but it's going to be a race against the clock.

Maybe NY has some extra taxes/fees for phones?

I'm in MI and was charged the correct tax for 2 preowned LG Tribute Empires, $5.88 (6% of $98)

edit, I did a search on google, and found:

I have tried multiple browsers, in different modes and I keep getting the same error:

https://www.sprint.com/content/sp...error.html

Even though I select the no credit check option, it keeps forwarding me to that page.
On saturday I tired the credit check option, after submitting, the page got stuck, I tried again and ever since I keep getting redirected there.

I have tried variations of my name and address with the same result.

Anyone here have any suggestions?
As you can imagine, doing the purchase over the phone will eliminate the BF cashback, it's $625 down the drain for 5 lines.
Did you use VPN? I got error when I was using VPN. But i went through with my local IP.
P/s: I used FireFox

State Telecommunications Excise Surcharge
Overall, customers in New York state pay an average of 24.36% in federal, state and local taxes on their wireless bills, according to the Tax Foundation
initial order does not include bill payment, only the device cost and sales tax, which is supposed to be 8.875% for phones in NYC.

as another poster in nearby Westchester said, the taxes and bs fees will total 30%+ for the monthly bill once it's generated.

The account number should be generated. You may be able to get it from CS, some ppl had success, some denied.

You'd have to setup up an account to be able to refer.

The shipping is overnight, the cut off time is around 1pm or something like that. Also some orders are getting delayed...a bit of luck I guess.

Check your PM.

My experience for what's worth.
I first did a dry run and everything was fine, got the no credit check version.
When I went to do the actual purchases, it asked me for SS# and credit check. Gah!
So...
I'm new to BF so I signed up on their site.
I used the current version of Firefox. I went into preferences and cleared all caches, cookies, etc. I went in to history and cleared all history. Then I quite/restarted Firefox. Btw I do not use a VPN. Couldn't hurt to restart your computer.
Clicked through BF and used the magnifying glass in upper right of Sprint's site and did a search for 'no credit check'. IIRC that took me to a page with two horizontal buttons to either BYOD or buy a device. Go through there and if you wish to purchase devices just do another search for the device you want.
Hope that helps and good luck.

if you go to refer.sprint.com it lets you generate a referral link without account number/activation. shouldn't that work?

Tried with and without VPN, using different IPs from different providers, chrome, edge, Firefox, IE in both normal and private mode.

It wants a Sprint phone number so I don't think it will work.
