Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.

You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.

Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Ah okay, I'll shut up now.

drunk is talking about Sprint needing to verify your phone with your old carrier via text before porting.

I think you are talking about Sprint needing to verify you have access to the phones already on your sprint account, before logging you into your sprint.com account.

IDK about referral credit, won't hurt to try.

Port in within 10 days of order for 300 GC, so make sure to complete the port when the SIM arrives.

Is it possible to add referral credit after the transaction is done?
I just ported a Verizon number. But the sim will arrive in couple of days, I guess. Does the port in need to be completed before 04/09 for me to get $300 GC?
Appreciate the help.

Except for Woz2000, who may have been confused, nobody else has reported change in porting practice of account number and pin.

All from single-same poster, but could be first report of something new.
Since this deal is in final hours, why mess around with eBay numbers that could be impacted by this? Go with Google Voice instead.

So I put in my 5 phone IMEI's to order Sprint Plus, and after asking for my SS#, it referred me to call them. Will it work better if I try again with a different email and/or IP address?

I'm loathe to wait on the phone (plus right now the phone number had a recording that their offices were closed)

Thanks!

Anyone thinks it's a bad idea to risk and do 10 lines? 5 on one account (my name, no credit check) and 5 on another new account (SO's name, no credit check)? Same address

I did. Had to go to a sprint store to get it sorted. Unless they can verify you the phone folks can't change the account.
So, did you have actual sims or you too bought from eBay? What did the store person do? I am planning to use 5 eBay att numbers which I bought yesterday. As you might already know I have only phone number, pin and account number for those numbers. There is no way that I can provide the sms. May be I use one GV and remaining 4 att numbers? Do you think it will work? Or do I need to use all 5 GV numbers?

Why not? Even if only one account pays off, you will still make money or at worst break-even. The large payoff from first would cover any potential loss in second.

Was it just you on random this happened to? Nobody else has reported about the SMS thing for port in

Well, you would have paid 4 months (around $500) service on the 2nd account for nothing? : )

Hmmm, all those posts from me, thought less work with eBay numbers, so bought them for $25 bucks (waste right?). Moreover I do not have 5 GV numbers.
