Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.

You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.

Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Just order by today, complete activation/port within 10 days.
Is 10 days the maximum time they allow to activate and port in the #?

Thanks for the response. So when I make the order today,
(1) I need to provide Sprint my Name, SSN, address, my number to be ported in
(2) Sprint runs credit check to verify my identity
(3) I add SIM card in the cart

Thanks again.

10 days is whats been reported throughout this thread. I have no idea what happens on the 11th day. Smilie

1. Try the no credit check option first. You dont need to provide SSN in the port details. All I gave was phone number, account number, and pin.
2. Only if you choose to do the credit check rather than no credit check. They seem to do some basic identity check if doing no credit check.
3. I didnt buy any sims, maybe someone else can answer about the sim.

I wasted so much time on this on and off today. Talked to so many sprint credit customer service rep that told me I had no flags, my previous accounts have been removed and my social # is now free and I past the credit application and I qualify for 5 lines. However, I was still getting error. Eventually I had a regular sprint CS agent create an account for me with new pin and secret question. With that info I can create a my sprint account (btw, I can't seem to use my past sprint username). Then I logged in to my sprint account. Searched for byod and went through the checkout process. Now I bypassed the credit check error during checkout and it is asking for my number to port in. But I noticed that there are no more mentions of the $300 prepaid mastercard in my cart checkout. I feel like I should still qualify for the $300 even though it doesn't mention in the checkout. But I stopped the checkout process and will make a trip tomorrow (4/9/20) to the corporate store to make sure I will get the $300. I still plan to order online for the cashback. I just want to double check that this deal and cashback is still valid on 4/9/20. At least that is what the sprint CS told me and I got a screenshot/transcript of it.
what number did you call to get SSN and previous accounts removed?

Sprint "ref" confirmation not showing in either the person sending or receiving email accounts. When I click to check the "your ref status" page it does not show their name either. There was no screen to input the phone number to register. This is the message that I get when I click my "ref" link that I sent to the other person's email:

"Thanks - your "ref" has been registered. We just need to run some checks on your account. Keep your account in good standing for 30 days and your $50 Prepaid Mastercard will be on its way."

I'm wondering how they registered anything without a phone number being entered?

Thanks for pointing out about credit check. Sure, I don't want to do the credit check.

At step 1 above, do you mean I need to provide the account # and pin from my existing carrier today eve though I can't complete the porting today(since I don't have SIM)?

Online order confirmation says you have 10 days to activate the SIM, see attached screenshot. Someone was told by a store salesman that he had 30 days, but from my experience Sprint salesmen are like car salesmen, they'll say anything to make a sale. YMMV.

no they'll send you just 1. but you can use the other sims in the kit if they are compatible. if you need more just remove that phone and add again and make sure you click new sim

If I have a sim pack from Amazon and a number from Mint, is it possible to do this deal in one day today to qualify for $300? If Mint is not good about realising numbers fast, what is my best bet?

there was no option to provide old carrier account # and pin when i placed the order. only imei (if you're byod) and phone number. so it'll show as incorrect account/pin in their system and someone calls you to get "correct" account/pin, and you can also do it from their website once you set up an online account after you've received sim cards. presumably you have 10 days to do this.
