Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I just received the 5 LGs I ordered on the evening of the 8th
how long do these things activate? It's still stuck in Configuring your phone for about 5mins.
edit: never mind, after a 3rd restart it finished activating.
The phone does several incremental software/system/profile updates and reboots after each time.

Wonder where Sprint got all these cheap refurb phones? I am going to sanitize the hell out of them!!
Someone suggested that they could be older brand-new phones, repackaged as pre-owned to clear them out so they won't compete with the current models. Mine has absolutely no marks on it. The USB port and headphone jack are spotless too. A phone that was used usually has some gunk in those openings.

For the $300 rebate, is it better to submit one number at a time? Or do all 5 numbers at once?

Rebate page asks for order date so you can do one submission for each order date -- if you ordered all of them on the same date then just add the phone numbers in the same submission (if you ordered on diff dates then submit each date separately)

Rebate center seems to be splitting them individually anyways so you'll get separate tracking numbers for each line

Thanks for that tip. Found out my phone is not brand-new but was barely used. Life Timer: 18 minutes, Life Calls: 15 calls. Out of those, I made 8 calls and used 10 minutes. See attachments.

The 5 phones I got all had scratched up back plates, the front and edges of the phone were all excellent, so I suspect they are using old and new parts to build these phones.

All the batteries had wear with one only lasting a few hours.

The phones were for Boost, if you check the embedding customization, they have Boost signatures.

I see them on Fleabay as part phones for up to $30, and working phones from $35 to $50. I'll bet you can easily resell them for around $40. The specs say they have some bands compatible with AT&T and Verizon. I can use mine as a backup phone on Tracfone/AT&T after it's unlocked by Sprint.

Have you checked their lifetime usage using the info that Desi provided?

Methinks Fleabay gonna be flooded with these is 3-4 months, so pricing will move toward lower-end of that range.
