Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

To those who took the $35 kickstart plan with auto-pay, when was your credit card charged by Sprint after you activated your SIM? I choose the autopay when I ordered the SIM on 4/9 with one credit card, but I am thinking to switch to another credit card for the autopay. Do I have enough time to do the card change? Or will Sprint charge my CC at the moment I activate the SIM? Also will change the payment card cause any issue for the $300 rebate?

You can log into your Sprint account and change the CC on file for Auto Pay. That does not affect your $300 rebate.
Let's call your activation date Day 1. On about Day 4, you'll get a notice that your First Bill is ready. It's for the period of Day 1 to Day 30, with the Auto Pay Date around Day 23.
I activated my line 1 (KS, Auto Pay) on 3/14, notified of First Bill on 3/18, billed from 3/13 (why?) to 4/13, with Auto Pay date of 4/6.

It's a soft pull. I opened the account in my wife's name on Monday and there was no credit inquiry/alerts in her credit files.
Wow really.. My friend got a hard pull.. Never heard abt any carrier making soft pull for a postpaid service... Sprint NO credit check was a different thing though

Besides my experience, see post #35 in this thread:

you should see on your account when you login when it is due, that is when your credit card will be charged. You can pay with another credit card 1 day before.

It will not affect the $300 rebate

No. You can make a one-time payment to reduce your balance to zero. As long as your automatic payment is on, you will get your $5 discount per line. Just be carefully when your make payment with other cc, either not make it default or make it default + auto pay. You can pay "express pay" without login in. https://www.sprint.com/apps/express-payment/ double make sure your sprint account number / mobile number is correct when you do express pay

Edit: changing payment method will not impact your eligibility for $300. Sprint will charge your on file auto pay cc only if there is a positive balance. Keep your payment confirmation number if you do express pay and account balance may not reflect immediately

Don't use the chat, they are useless.

They gave me an account specialist number to call but I'm so tired of trying to explain the situation to them.

Someone want to give them a call and report back? 888-211-4727

You've been pranked—that's just Sprint's regular customer service number. LMAO

If you're pursuing justice for the activation date issue, contact Marci as explained in recent posts. Only her team can meaningfully change the course of things—and they are quite helpful.

Your dp confirmed my idea that if the reviewer/processor of your rebate is not careful enough he may mark your rebate as invalid even if you have all the correct info submitted.
I would be extremely surprised if any human is involved in the rebate processing in this day and age.

A human is probably only involved for individual problem cases, and likely has the discretion to approve or deny a case without messing with the algorithm that automatically processes all other submissions.

The only way to get the algorithm changed, which would universally apply to everyone, is to push Sprint to take the intiative, which means contacting Marci, whose team has special authority to do this.

I'm not impacted by activation date issue, so have not had reason to contact her. However, following Sprint threads over the years, a crucial learning has been that Marci's Customer Advocacy Team is the only one that can cut through customer service runaround and corporate rules confusion.

that's a waste of time too unless you talk to a supervisor.

Send @sprint a message and someone from the customer advocacy group will call you after you give them your contact info via PM.

What helped me is I gave them an account to compare.

Got a call from Sprint. Basically wanted to know if I put in the activation date on the rebate submission. I honestly told him I thought it wanted the purchase date, which I entered as 4/9/20. He said they were going to forward this all to their promotions team and would get back to me. He was very nice.
But didn't the rebate submission ask for the purchase date anyway? lol

unfortunately, I don't have that luxury of a second account to compare, lol

So has anyone heard anything back from Marci and her team? At least an acknowledgement that they've received your complaints?

yes, my case was assigned to someone on her team, Executive something. He said he tried to contact me but I never got a call and conveniently he works Sunday through Thurs 7:30 - 3:30 CT, which was already passed when I got his email. So I'll call him Sunday.

I've had to go through this team before when one of my phones got resku'd to prepaid although it was not my doing. They are friendly and helpful so hopefully something will get done.
