Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Not sure but maybe Marci's office has retired due to T-Mobile merger, that is why you got call from regular customer service.

Can everyone who emailed Marci say whether they actually received a response from Marci's team or was it just forwarded to regular customer service now? This is very important for those still planning on emailing Marci because it seems they may no longer be helpful.

I have two lines as well that haven't been turned on. All 5 have the same pending and speedbump/missing is deliquent. But I had to order by phone and they activated the lines for me. I think you are also fine if you ordered phones through them. I would be worried if you just signed up online giving them sim # and imei. Rebate wise anyways.

But who knows, on my BYOD free plan my #5 line was "activated" wal mart phone still in sealed box, returned phone, but it stayed on my account for 6 months until I replaced it. Even got the Works $100 BYOD rebate on that line. Back then the warning was use the lines or lose them, but I did not.
That sounds positive. Yes, I ported by calling them. I ordered phones online but have all the porting, registering for rebate cards on phone through customer service. 🤞

If you have billing issues...first look at your bill. Knowing that it should be $100 + taxes/fees does not help you if your bill is $230. Find out what else you are being charged for. My guess? Sprint rep that signed you up slammed you with insurance. Sprint complete on 5 lines is 5x$15 = $75. Then you can actually go to CS and tell them what you need removed/modified.

I get less than 0.1 Mbps in all parts of my apartment except 1 where I get over 100Mbps. With Verzion Prepaid I get about 30-40Mbps in the parts where I get the <0.1Mbps on Sprint

Really want to move over to some other provider as well but $100 for U+ for 5 lines is hard to beat. Hopefully, they get better with the merger.

I also like the free Tidal music.

Postpaid carriers bill monthly service charges One month in advance, and give you 23-24 days to pay it, so billing period of March 18 to 18 is for service period March 19 to April 18. You are only given billing periods so it is confusing(even their own reps are confused, if you ask them about billing period, they said something like "we bill in advance similar to rent", "you don't have to pay for last month ", they can't provide you a clear answer.

The bill is correct. Sprint bills [service] one month in advance, that means the service cycle of May 19 to June 18 is billed in the billing cycle dated April 19 to May 18(which is one month in advance of service) with payment due date of around June 11-13 (usually is one week before the service cycle ends, you pay for service after use, so called postpaid service) the bill is viewable online around May 22nd/23rd(3 or 4 days after customers enter a new cycle)

Apr 19 - May 18 for service period May 19 to June 18,
$127.12
Mar 19 - Apr 18 for service cycle April 19 to May 18
$127.12
Mar 18 - Mar 18 for service period March 19 to April 18 (you have a prorated monthly charge here, since 4 lines didn't complete a full service cycle)

This is first time to use post paid service. What if I paid next bill that includes next bill period, and then cancel the service? They automatically refund for the advance charge? and also they prorate the bill if I cancel during bill period?

Last month of service(last bill) is not prorated. You will only get a refund if you have a negative balance due to overpayment. Eg you make a payment of $130 to a bill that charges $125

What causes the confusion is that they call it "postpaid" but bill you in advance. The true "postpaid" services are like your utility companies (water, electric city, gas, etc). You use the service first, then at the end of the service period they bill you for what you used.

I just called Sprint to unlock my phone since it's been over 60 days. The rep told me Sprint didn't lock my phone because my phone was unlocked to begin with (bought factory unlocked from Google). However, she was seeing conflicting information on her end - One system says the phone is locked. The other says it isn't. She submitted a ticket for help, but seems like they have no idea what's going on. She even asked me to contact Google. I don't see how Google can help here since my phone was unlocked before I ported my number to Sprint. I put in the IMEI number on Tello and it's showing the phone is active with another carrier, so I believe my phone is tied to Sprint. How do I untie/unlock it?

You're getting two different things mixed up.
* Unlocked phone: an unlocked phone will accept a SIM from any carrier. Your phone was factory unlocked, so it can accept a SIM from any carrier. Sprint did NOT lock your phone when you signed up and use that phone with Sprint.
* IMEI locked: you're currently using your phone with Sprint. Tello uses Sprint network, so your IMEI won't pass Tello's IMEI checker because a phone cannot be used with different phone numbers ON THE SAME CARRIER at the same time. If you check your phone IMEI with AT&T, Verizon, etc it will show "clear to use".

If you want to use your phone with Tello, then you have to cancel the Sprint line that uses that phone.
