Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.

You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.

Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I called today and the rep processed my rebate and said it is approved and told me rebate card will be sent before June 24th. I will believe it when I see the status change in the website. My status is speed bumb and missing is delinquent, paid my 3rd bill couple of days back.
Did the status change on RHQ site today?

To get more deal out of this deal, I think I'll generate 5 Jersey Mike's accounts and 5 Jimmy John's accounts to get 10 free sandwiches. That's about $70 in value.
Thanks for the info, but for Jersey Mike's , do we get a free sub just creating an account using mobile number, or it is for the birthday ? Thanks.

Are you talking about the normal Free Birthday offer or is something else on offer?

Regarding the $50 Sprint referral gift cards:

Went to Staples yesterday to try to buy the $200 no-fee Visa gift card (current Staples promo for this week), but stock was cleared out. Or maybe the Staples employees hid them? So I bought 4x$50 Amazon gift cards instead, and should be getting 5% cash back for swiping my $50x4 referral cards ($10).

Right after I swiped my first $50, I told the cashier I had 3 more of the $50 gift cards. Cashier was caught off-guard, called over the manager. Most likely I was not allowed to buy gift cards with prepaid gift cards. The manager confirmed my suspicion, said this was not allowed, so I asked if I can get a refund on the first $50 gift card that was swiped. The manager pondered a good five minutes, uncertain and unsure how to proceed, so he said to just process the remaining 3x$50 referral cards and to "not do it again next time."

Originally I wanted to get the $200 no-fee Visa (then buy MO and deposit MO to bank), and also the 5% cash back, but oh well. Seems like buying gift cards with prepaid cards are very YMMV (this was the Staples in Huntington Beach, CA)

Not the best deal but worked out for me in the end. I was planning on buying something on Amazon anyway.

Update:

I sent over an inquiry in the referral Contact Us page, this was their response:

Hi [my name],
We are emailing you in response to your request.
Thanks for checking on the status of your Sprint Referral Reward.
Your referral to [mom's name] is currently being reviewed. Once activation is verified, we'll update your Referral History online and notify you by email if you qualify for the $50 Reward Card(s).
Go to sprint.com/referral for more program information.
We appreciate your participation in the Sprint Referral Rewards program!

so a non-answer. lol. I will keep waiting and posting updates as they go.
Update 6/10:
Reached out to Marci's team earlier this week, got a call back from the Sprint Advocacy Team today. Rep confirmed my issue regarding not having received my $50 referral card and my mom not receiving hers. Rep said he will forward my concern over to the Promotions team and will personally call me back by end of this week or early next week.

You need to create account and make one order (can be anything, I Believe), and you'll be credited with enough points for a regular sub.

The Missing Is Delinquent is a mystery. It's not related to paying the bill because each account had paid the bill several times already.
My theory is that "Is Delinquent" is a boolean variable that refers to a check at the end of ~90 days to see if you were delinquent anytime during your 3 months. Once that check is done, it will either clear out or it will change to invalid if someone was delinquent. It's probably fulfilled by some automated process that is timed based on activation date. Until it is populated (it's probably NULL right now for people), the variable is "Missing".

I tried paying my 3rd month way in advance (like over a week ago) and it still hasn't cleared. So, it must be a timed check later on.

FWIW, I work in IT (used to be a dev) and that logic is plausible from a design perspective. It's bad UI/CX that they make it display that on the website though. They either don't expect normal customers to be reading that stuff or they just don't care that their UI is crap. Lots of pure IT people are bad at user-facing design.

Was this an offer via Sprint Rewards or what?

I asked Be.Frugal how long it would take for them to resolve the issue with Sprint regarding my CB being reversed. They said it could take up to 90 days. This is 90 days from June 1st, when the transaction got reversed, That would put me into September and 5 or 6 months of service. What a scam!

I received the same information when I called a couple of days ago.

The status hasn't changed either on RebateHQ or Sprint site.

I worked in mainframe IT from 1977 to 2012 when I retired. Was in many areas: operations, application programming, system programming/admin, tech support, etc. What you said is plausible. Some of those "Missing" messages are just "flags" that were to be flipped off at the right time. Probably not intended to be seen by site users.
