Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I activated TracFone, then few minutes later ported out for ATT deal a while ago. Very easy and quick.

At 7:05am CDT I called the number 844-382-3312 listed on the tracking site. Talked to an (Indian) agent who told me that they've been getting a lot of calls about denied rebates. He could see that my line qualifies for the offer, but the dept that can resolve the error wouldn't be opened until 8AM. He'd need to call me back, get the other dept on the line to resolve the error. Since I'll be outside mowing the yard soon before it gets too hot, he gave me a case number and promised to call me back at noon.
I asked if I could call the other dept directly and he said that dept doesn't take direct call. Doesn't sound like what other people here had posted. Anyway, I'll post an update about 1pm CDT.
