Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Update...first he told i m not eligible and read me same status message.. Then i said thats why i called as its a mistake..

Then finally i told that i called 6 days ago when it was updated..he checked and found it.. Told me it was not supposed to be updated before 90days .it has to be updated after 90days...and he is updating now...i hope it works as he said.. Still on hold
Good luck. Call again later today to check whether this rep did what he/she claimed. Did the rep escalate? The rep can't approve it seems.

Hope you didn't do any referrals, bcoz they are coming out with that as an excuse to not give $300 GC.

Just call them and tell them the rebates got flagged INCORRECTLY to invalid today and you are calling in to correct it. Just keep calling them 2-3 times a day till the status changes.

Hope u didn't do any referrals. That's another headache it seems.
So I called and the agent said they will use a different server to process my two cards. I originally signed up for virtual reward but agent said now it will be mailed to me. I find that weird, is that normal (the fact they will use different server to process the reward)? I asked if it would be under same tracking number and they said no and that I can track this new one in 24-48 hours using my phone number.

I guess I will see if there is any new tracking in 24-48 hours, agent also said I can expect to receive it the mail in 13 business days, maybe earlier. I guess I will see how this all pans out by then? Agent also said they annotated my account with this info.

If I do not receive it, keep calling back this number?

Yes. Keep calling them till the status of the rebates update. Call them twice a day at a minimum.

I called Sprint at 7865 number, and the person knew so much about the rebate already. I gave him 1 tracking number and he found the other 4 himself on my account and assured that I qualified for all the rebates and I should receive them in 5 business days through email.

1. Virtual card or physical card? Either way, that's very fast for calling just 3 days ago.
2. When did you see the status changed from Invalid/Denied to Valid, and on Sprint or RHQ site?
3. Did you do any referral?

I'm not sure if bombarding Sprint with numerous calls in a work day is going to help. That's not saying to not make an initial call to get it validated but all the follow up calls seem a little over the top. Give them some time to get the stuff updated and fixed on their end.

I know that I'm trusting that the phone call I had this last Sunday will resolve my $300 rebate issue. The CSR indicated that the rebate was validated and that tracking would be updated in 3-5 days and at that point the rebate would be processed and in the mail. I'm going to wait to contact them again until probably the middle/end of next week. I know my tracking info is still stating things are invalid but I'm going to give them the time they stated they needed to get it fixed prior to calling again.

That approach would make sense if everyone who had called in starts seeing the status changed after x number of days. But in reality, some people saw a status change within 24 hrs, while some people like me who have made multiple calls since last Friday and still don't see any action (no follow-up email, no update on Sprint and RHQ web site). The answers/actions vary greatly from one rep to another, that's why I had to call 4 times so far.

The rep I talked to yesterday afternoon also said to expect an email with a new tracking number. So far, nothing yet. I just checked on Sprint web site using the old tracking and then my phone number, still shows Invalid.

I guess that I'm just willing to give them the time they requested to get things updated and fixed. With me, they requested 3-5 business days and I'll probably give them 2x the requested time before I call in again. I understand the frustration, heck I'm frustrated, but at some point you have to evaluate what your time and energy is worth as well as at least try and trust that they'll get it fixed as promised. Life is short...

Added:
Just like most everyone else, I got in on the deal to get some "free service" for a few months and also, make a few bucks in the end. I went into this knowing Sprint generally sucks for service and their customer service is pretty sketchy. With that I did NOT maximize every possible pay back option and also did NOT open 4-5 lines. With that being said, I've already been paid for over 6 months of service with what I have received. Waiting another month or so, and being billed for my 4th month of service isn't a deal killer. The $300 is cream on top of everything else that has been received. Fingers crossed...
