Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

What is the cheapest and easiest port-out recommendation? I would like to at least save one of my numbers. However I don't need to. Depends on the cost.

anyone pls tell me which is the cheapest plan and sim to port out to?
i have verizon, att sim.. if anyother like h20 ,tracfone pls tel me how to get them shipped from online. thanks.
Best Buy and Amazon have a $1 Mint sim card with 7 days of service. If you are buying a few, the shipping fee doesn't bring the per sim price up much. I would think that you can port a number into Mint.

If you just want to get rid of your Sprint numbers for cheap by porting to Mint and let them RIP there, the above won't work. Use h2o $1 SIM instead. To port number to Mint using the Mint Trial Starter Kit, you have to upgrade to the full plan.

Just curious. Why just not use the gc for your everyday expenses? Why go with the hassle of changing it to money order or depositing it to bank account? I already spent 3 of my gc.
From the T-mo, Sprint, and AT&T deals, I get a total of $4400 in GCs. It costs me less than $5 to buy five money orders and convert them to cash. My Amex card gives 6% cb on groceries and my wife's USBank Cash+ card gives 5% cb on utilities and cell phone service. When I charge $4400 in household expenses to those credit cards, I get at least $220 back. Easy to see why I convert the GCs to cash.

This is good info. I bought a handful of MInt sims at the start of this deal to port from Mint to Sprint, and quickly found out that I had to fund each one in order to be able to use them. It makes sense that the sim would also have to be funded(on a plan) in order to be able to port out of Sprint to Mint.

I ran into the same thing with Bluebeat/Boom Mobile. Bought a dozen of their SIMs to port out after doing the deals with T-mo, Sprint, AT&T. Found out you can't port-in with the 30-day Trial SIM. SpeedTalk will let you port in with their 30-day trial SIM but automatically enroll you for monthly service, so you have to call and cancel. Ended up buying H2O SIMs for porting out.

Yeah same thing with ultra Mobile's promo a few months back. They have a special deal for a few days trial. But they give you a special number to use, and when you decide that's when you port in.

Yes, and it will also hold the number for 30 days to give you time to find another deal...
