I just created a ticket, response was that Sprint didn't financially account for all of the CB referrals in April 2020. They are talking to Sprint to hopefully recoup funds. But that's all I got. I have my $625 back, but under pending instead of verified (pending investigation).

When was your payable date?
Uggh, mine dropped to .05 from $625.

Payable date is 7/07.

I just created a ticket to inquire.

I have one used LG Tribute bought from Sprint, it was unlocked automatically after 50 days. I also have a Sprint-branded LG Stylo 4+ bought on HSN. After 50 days, I chatted with a Sprint regular rep who passed me on to a Tech Support rep that unlocked it for me.
Is the unlocked LG tribute good for other carriers? Probably ATT and T-Mobile. Not Verizon.

It works for AT&T and T-mobile. I'm using it for the AT&T BYOD deal, concurrently with it being on Sprint.

RE: Staples

Stores typically carry $200 max value VGCs. Those will be fee-free next week. Visa only, not MC. Do NOT buy MC gc.

The sale says limit one, but some will allow multiple cards in one transaction. YMMV. Sale is in-store only, not online.

If you spend any of the funds of your $300 card at Staples, you will get 5% back. After the transaction, hold your card at wait a few days. Check your balance and you should see 5% added to your balance. If you spent all $300 at Staples, that is $15.
Thanks for the info. I am at Staples and they limit 1. I swiped my Sprint card and the cashier asked the last 4 digits for the transaction to complete. So looks like it was used as debit card, right? If 5% cash back is only for credit card transaction, then I won't get the cash back. :-(

Great 👍 It's on sale now at $29.99, used to be $49.99 IIRC. I am thinking to grab 2.

No, was run as credit. Asking for the last four # is standard cashier protocol.

Check your balance on Tuesday, and you should see the 5% added.

Try the ting Boyd checker and see what it says. I believe in the past when my sprint phones got unlocked it passed and not have some financial obligation message
Well, isnt Ting Sprint based MVNO? In that case, Sprint iPhones should come up as compatible That's the message I received when trying. No financial obligation message even though the device has monthly installment plan. Also, even if the phone is under a contract, why would Ting not allow it?

You can try with Apple support (online or phone). Couple of years ago, I talked with an Apple online rep and she confirmed my 5S was unlocked. Only IMEI or Serial Number is needed.

You can also search GSX Report on ebay. That report will give you all details about your phone. Usually, it just takes about $1.

There are also some web sites which can check iPhone unlock status. But I never used them. Google "Unlock iPhone" and you'll see some.
Yeah, I remember using those $1 services before. Was wondering if there is a free way to find : )

Google search result:

How can I tell if my Sprint iPhone is unlocked?

iPhone: To tell if your iPhone is unlocked, go to Settings> Cellular> Cellular Data. If you see Cellular Data Options, then your phone is unlocked.

Well, I mentioned that I do not have access to the device and cannot check that.

Thanks. Now I know. I seldom shop in store at Staples, most of the time online shopping.
