You said that you received email saying that your rebate was approved, could you let me know when you submitted the rebate?

As to the best way to cancel the line, I know some people use H20 , you can buy from Target or bestbuy for $1.
submitted rebate 3/31

I ported my 5 numbers (Unlimited Premium plan) on March 30 under this BYOD program.

I got free international calling enabled for my account. We made international calls and there was NO charge for that since March 30 untill May 30.

I received new bill today for the month of June and I was shocked to see the bill of around $8550.

Chat representative is not able to find why it was not charged last month's bill but charged this month.

Any suggestion how to escalate this issue?

I have sprint representative chat id where we discussed that international calls would be free for my account as a proof.

Thanks.

Are you sure chat rep told you international CALLS or international ROAMING?

International roaming is free on sprint but no international calls are not free..

Either you misunderstood the rep or the rep lied to you. Enable international calling on the line is free. International calling is disabled on most accounts by default. Making international calls is not free, depending on where you call and if Sprint Global Roaming is included.

Snippet of my chat with sprint representative:

"You : and there would not be any charges for making International calls from our phones
Nadine D. : Yes yes that is correct ."

May be the person lied to me.
How can I get this waived off? It's huge amount.
Is there any way I can escalate this?

Thanks.

Which country did you call? Mobile numbers or landline numbers?

I took a quick look at this site. With some countries, calls to mobile and landline numbers are free. With some countries, calls to landlines are free but calls to mobile numbers are charged. With some countries, calls to both types of numbers are charged.

Scroll down to March 13, 2020

"Starting on March 17, per-minute calling rates for international long distance calls to countries identified by the Center for Disease Control as Level 3 are waived through 5/31/20. Customers are still responsible for any monthly charges for add-on international long-distance calling plans."

If the country you called wasn't Level 3 or if you made calls after 5/31 then the charges are valid

Shoot. Do we have to keep the lines open for that long? : /

I will not take that risk. I fully expect to pay a 4 month. But I will not risk a 5th month and I will still argue that I had service 4 months.

If he used that much in June then it must have cost Sprint at least a few hundred bucks the previous 2 months when they gave it for free -- their prices are inflated so he can ask for discount or good will credit to bring it down to triple digits hopefully
