Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

For the BF redeem to VISA card, we might be stuck using that as an actual credit card that can only be used online?
Can we at least use it to buy a visa/mastercard/amex physical card online?

Not a problem . auto pay discount is not to pay using autopay ..you just have it enabled to get that disocat

No impact on autopay discount if you pay ahead manually, the bill amount was already set.
Got it. Thanks. Repped. I am good to port out one line from Sprint.

I got the last of my $300 GCs today. Went to Dillons, bought a $900 money order and deposited it into my checking account. About 30 minutes ago, I started the process to port out one line to H2O. About 15 minutes later, the device status showed a change. Don't know when/if Sprint will remove that device. I'll wait until tomorrow morning and port out the other line. The 4th bill has been manually paid and the 5th service period won't start until 7/13, so I can take my time and see how things progress.

My 2nd account has also been paid but I promised one of my referees that I'll keep that account open until July 15th, so he can have time to fight with Sprint for a missing referee's reward.

About 2 hrs after porting out, Sprint removed device #2 from my account.

I received my final $300 rebate card today; I already purchased (2X) fee-free $200 VGCs at Staples and drove straight to WM to get a MO. In a few days, I'll get the $15 (5%) credit on the card, and add that to my Amazon GC fund.

About a week ago, I purchased five iPhone 8 64GB from Sprint at $99 each. Used, of course, but all five were in good physical condition.

Separately, I ported my primary cell # from VZW PP to Metro By TMo (PP). I am paying $60/mon, but that includes Amazon Prime ($10/mon). Effectively, it was $5/mon more than VZW PP. But it included a free phone, the Moto G Stylus (which I like very much). I am happy with the service, so that opened a new option to close out my Sprint account.

TMo is offering "free (after credits)" iPhone 11s. They also have a plan with two lines for $55 (for the 55+ crowd).

I signed up for two lines, and bought an 11 phone for each. I will go ahead and pay off the phones in full. The credits I will receive for the phone purchase will cover my monthly bill for 24 months. I can sell the phones to cover most of my OOP cost.

Effectively, I'll have free phone service for two lines for two years.

The offer required a port-in from a "qualified" carrier. And yes, I verified that Sprint was one before going forward.

I ported over two of my five Sprint numbers. About a week after the port is complete, I will port my "real" number from Metro, as well as a second number from a different account.

I will port the last three numbers using Number Barn ($5 x 3).

So between this thread's offer and my "free" iPhones, I have received about $3800 in cash or services.

Thanks to all that have aided me in this journey!

I saw that thread about the T-mo deal, get a "free" phone after paying $15 activation fee and one month's prepaid service. The nice thing is that the phone will be unlocked after 6 months, even if you only used/paid for one month of service. When I checked this afternoon, they were offering the Samsung A10e and LG K51. Nice deal if someone needs a phone. But I didn't do the deal because I already have too many phones.

I ~will~ try to see if a Metro-locked phone will work on TMo, but I kinda doubt it. If it does, I will be very happy. Regardless, I can sell it, and just buy an unlocked one outright.

I will still have three Sprint-locked iPhone 8 (unless I can get them unlocked asap), two unlocked Moto G7s, three unlocked G6s, as well as the two new iPhone 11s (128GB). Now I have to determine what, if any, to keep around for future deals.

Nope ... the phones must have six months of ~contiguous~ service with Metro before you can unlock them.

If I sell mine, it will have to be listed as Metro-locked.

Based on recent posts, it seems Sprint auto-resolves those speedbump and Missing Is Delinquent errors on the 91st day after rebate submission.

I was going by what was said in this post: https://slickdeals.net/f/14174474-samsung-a20-for-free-when-you-switch-15-activation-fee-in-store-only?p=138547379#post138547379

As a warning if you are planning on porting out to H2O, be prepared to lose your # forever. I ported from Sprint to H2O (completed in minutes) and then tried to port out of H2O to Visible and they are holding up the number. Already filed an FCC complaint as they are keeping my number hostage.

Not an issue for me. I just want the numbers to go there and die, instead of having to call the current carriers to cancel.
