I thoroughly enjoyed Children of Morta, just finished it a few days ago. It's a great game with narration that really sets it off. It's also a game that you can pick up and put down at any time and doesn't require specific save points in dungeons or anything. It's great if you cannot invest hours at a time.
Can't go wrong with Enter the Gungeon. Hundreds of hours of bullet hell goodness.

It will definitely try your endurance and patience. It's one of those games where the more you play, the better at the game mechanics you'll get. Once you learn enemy patterns and develop strategies you'll be breezing through it like a pro.
Is it me or did Slickdeals turn you to a switch games hoarder too? My 8 year old got his switch from "Santa" last season.. at the time it was our 1st Nintendo Switch and now we have 3 Switches and over 40 games 🤦🏻 ♂️

The learning curve for Gungeon is very sharp, but short. I couldn't beat the first boss (whichever one it would throw at me) for quite awhile before I finally figured out what I was doing wrong: I was playing it like a shooter, when I should have been playing it like a bullet hell shoot-em-up/shmup. Spend more time navigating your character between bullets than trying to blast the enemies at first. Once you get a knack for that, you'll start getting many dozens of new guns, constantly thinking about all the wild combination synergies possible with your passive pickups, obsessed with planning new routes of attack, cursing or thanking god for whatever gun pops out of those chests, and you'll find yourself steadily plowing through it to the final boss, like I finally did.
It's my most-played Switch game and my favorite roguelike action game ever. I can't recommend it enough.
Gungeon is super fun. It's not as chaotic as it looks. Just takes a little time to get used to dodge and roll. Countless hours of fun. Morta is a bit challenging. Story, narration, and gameplay is so polished. It's like playing a good fantasy novel. It's high class in game quality. Both of these games are worth their price and above.

They have a demo available on the eShop; I downloaded it last night but I haven't fired it up yet.
