Ticket To Ride: London $9 Online at Walmart

$9 is a great price for a simplified version of the main game. It's good for times like today when we're all indoors passing the time.

If you decide to be brave enough to take the adventure to Walmart, they will be able to price match their online price.

While the game is on clearance at some stores, I was only able to find them at full price at the Walmarts in Southern California (San Diego).

    Not that's it's worth going out to check, but last month I saw these clearanced to $5 at a few local Walmart's. Bought it at that price.

    I got this game back around BF and have played it a few times.

    It's similar to TtR New York in speed of play but uses different scoring bonuses to keep the games different.

    Just played this for the first time this weekend. Very similar to Ticket to Ride New York so if you have that one I'd skip it unless you just want the additional map.

    Rules are basically identical to regular Ticket to Ride. The only thing new is "districts", where if you connect every city within that district you get a point bonus from 1 to 5. There's only 17 trains double decker busses, so the game goes very quick. This has the tendency to greatly increase the amount of luck involved in who wins, but it also significantly reduces playtime. This means you could play a best of 3 in about the same amount of time as a normal TTR game, which evens out the luck. Also it's not as aggravating when somebody blocks in a 10-15 minute game vs. when somebody foils the plan you've been working towards for half an hour.

    It takes up a lot less space both in the box and on the table too, so it may be better suited to travel and small places. Bottom line if a quicker, somewhat more luck based version of TTR appeals to you this will fit the bill.

    I got it for $10 around Black Friday, and it's fun. It's a little quicker than I like, but I think it's a good intro to board games, maybe even before introducing people to the main ticket to ride game.
