I have stopped eating at Panda Express. Their portion sizes are very, very small.
Quote from Lark :
Their portions are usually horrible compared to other fast food Chinese places, but a family meal at this price should even it out. I hope more places offer discounts through apps.

Their panda app is horrible though... Even though they say you can "favorite" an order, there is no way to access it; whoever designed or is in charge of the app is a real failure.
Quote from munkle :
I don't get how people are saying their portion sizes are small. Do your stores not load your carton up? For like $8 they completely fill to the brim the to go container. Any other Chinese place around me is more like $10-12 for the same amount of food, and its usually not as good.
FWIW I order from panda too much but one reason I do is that the portion sizes are HUGE. If I get a 2-3 entry plate, that is either a huge coma inducing meal for one or a good amount of food to split between two people. The app/online ordering on a desktop is 'quirky' at best, but once you figure out how to navigate properly and have an account setup, ordering is pretty painless. Online pickup is fast/efficient too, especially around lunch or dinner time when things can get a little busy. Head over to the cashier and wait politely and someone usually gets to my order within less than a minute.

The survey for an additional menu item doesn't take very long and really increases the value and is something that I'm pretty sure can be done every time or at least I've done it multiple times on the same account without any issue, though I wonder if they read or listen to comments because the problems and issues I've brought up over years of surveys are still problematic and some of them are probably costing them a lot of business.

Ok food but they put a crap ton of big veggie piece to fill the box.

Personally, Panda never loads up on the regular plates (the family size, they have to fill up the box) for me. But if I go to other fast food Chinese places like Hong Kong Express, they fill the plate like it's going to explode/pour out of the box, and the price is usually cheaper. Value wise, Panda isn't great, but this family deal is a no brainer especially since portion sizes are already fair for everyone due to the box containers.

Yeah, panda threads seem to invite the most trolls/haters out of any other item I browse on SD. Occasionally, in chocolate or other junk food posts, you'll get the "this is garbage, look at the ingredients" poster, but panda wins.

How much do you weigh and how tall are you? Panda portions are never "huge" and I've been there for many years and different cities.

I ordered but it was from a store that is closed, so when I canceled the order I no longer have the option for the $20 deal. It' appears a one time use only.
Really? It's one time deal? How so if it's regular price without requiring any coupons? I was hoping to eat panda every week from this deal....

WOW that is cheap. I went to our panda earlier this week and I must admit I had never seen it empty before

Doh, looks like my store is now closed and not taking orders, probably due to COVID Frown
Shouldn't be closed, just online/drive through only.

And you think for $8 2-entre dish you can get a better deal with a burger and fries? Lol

I just checked the wait time for orders and it is show -700 minutes. Does that mean they are fulfilling orders before they are being ordered?

Panda's food has improved significantly in the past several years that's for sure.
