Riding off the MARCH30 code you can get these great weightlifting shoes for cheap. I know it's not as good as the previous Adipower deal for $84 last month, but for those who are in need of it now (like I am) this is a great deal.

Power Perfect still has a lot of Sasquatch sizes available (13.5 is the smallest). That's rarely the case with limited size deals. Very tempting...

If you're squatting or doing any of the Olympic lifts, a hard sole with a raised heel will help you out. If you're deadlifting, a flat, harder sole (like Chuck Taylors) might be what you want.

Edit: A raised heel can provide some benefit for your deadlift, too. I've tried it and prefer the flatfooted/barefoot though.

I usually agree, but if you're trying to get better at Overhead squats, front squats, or any of the oly lifts, then a raised heel takes one piece out the equation. I'm all for ankle mobility but if it's holding back your depth/max, then you have a (legal) tool to train for that.

Wrong. Deadlifts also benefit from this shoe.

Main reason these are so effective is because it relaxes your dorsiflexion ROM. So if you have tight ankles or bad knees, these can help a lot.

However, like I suggest with any training equipment that aids in lifts (belts, wraps, shoes) use them sparingly. Don't ignore the fundamentals. These shoes will never improve your ROM. Incorporate them into your workouts, but don't let it be in every single one. It'll do more harm than good.

If you're looking at this shoe, chances you don't need it and chucks are sufficient. You can lift barefeet, these won't change your life. Save the money and spend it on good food.

I really like my matflex 5 for deadlifts, and since I low bar squat, ankle mobility isnt such a big issue with them. Just a nice pointer. Those shoes rock

it really comes down to are you actually weightlifting (ie performing snatch and C&J) or just squatting. these shoes are geared for the former, but can benefit people with poor mobility for squats that can't hit below parallel. If you have good mobility and don't plan on snatching or C&J then yes Chucks and similar shoes are fine. These shoes are still more stable than Chucks as it is purpose-made for weightlifting. Are you going to notice/benefit/need it? That's up to you.

I wonder how's the sizing on 2.0. I regularly wear 9 (my specific size is 8.75), but my sized 8.5 Adipower 1.0 still has a good space on the toe box.

Yeah, because everyone else has the exact same ankle mobility as you and want to buy a brand new pair every 6 months lol

1. Price (obvious)
2. Heel lift, powerlift 4 (0.6inches), adipower 2 (0.79 inches), power perfect 3 (0.75)
3. Metatarsal strap position, powerlift has a slightly lower strap position.
4. Quality of the build of the shoe (subjective) more expensive = better build quality

You gotta try them see which feels best depending on your mobility and anthropometry.
