Seems like an overpriced dog food. Per dogfoodadvisor, Blackwood lean is only 3 stars.

Skip the lean, it's 3 stars on dogfoodadvisor. The 2000 and 3000 type bags are both rated as 4 stars.

I've always used DogFoodAdvisor when selecting my dog's food... However, the way that site rates food is heavily based on ingredients (and the Carbs : Proteins : Fats ratio), I feel like their algorithm doesn't quite work well for healthy weight / diet dog foods. (Or you just need to realize that will be the case in their reviews)

Its almost always down a full star. Some of their top rated weight control foods are 4/5 stars. The one with 5 I see, is grouped in with all the different variations, not sure if the weight control one got proper attention.

And then their algorithm can have the opposite effect on puppy dog food. Those tend to be rated higher.

You all need to stop quoting the dogfoodadvisor rating. It's useful for the nutrition information, but I highly discourage just "going to the site and look at the stars".
