Monoprice has this 6ft HDMI Cable for $1.64
plus shipping. This deal is only for the black color choice, and only for the 6ft cable. Decent specs, and probably a very capable cable for 90% of equipment in use today.

Why not? I've used these and cheaper cables with HDR, HDR+, Dolby Vision, and with eARC. No problems whatsoever compared to expensive cables.
I hear ya. I was buying a bunch of other stuff there, since Amazon was showing shipping times of "maybe we can have Santa drop it off when he brings your kid's presents." So these were great add on items, along with some of those hospital grade power cords.
Alot of these old cables are just as fast as newer ones, but they weren't rated for higher speeds, because those higher speeds weren't part of the validation when they were produced.
In most cases, even really cheap cables can support hdmi 2.1 spec @ 6 feet. at 15 feet+, then there might be issues because the termination has to be super clean..

Geez. Cant you tell he being sarcastic ? 😂
Yes! I'd recommend heading down to Best Buy and picking up a Monster branded HDMI cable for ~$100. This is the only way to ensure your cable won't catch fire.
The 6 foot version IS on sale when properly selected.
