I called the toll-free number on the Mobil 1 rebate website. They confirmed that Walmart is a valid retailer for this promotion.

I always look forward to this deal every time they offer it, but after the Walmart debacle last year, we're pretty well stocked up.

Also, it looks like the deal isn't quite as sweet as it used to be. It's showing $10 back on a bunch of varieties that used to get $12 back. And it says it's a prepaid Visa card now, they used to always send a check.

Looks like I'll be skipping this one, but still a solid deal for those in need. Thanks for posting OP!

TL : DR Mobil had a $5 coupon good at Walmart off of one jug. But there was a glitch that let you stack multiple coupons and it took the discount off of all the jugs, effectively making them free. And you could still apply for the rebate, in theory getting paid to buy the oil.

I agree but XOM is taking a beating, maybe they are less likely to deal on consumer products? Not sure what the supply chain delay is but every bottle ive bought had a date stamp 6 mo prior.

Auto part stores often have a free filter with an oil purchase, those promos stack with manufacturer rebates

really can't complain here folks. most retailers have the 5qt jugs around $22 to $25. So $15 after rebate. not as good as it has been but still a good deal.

Another successful Mobil1 rebater who has been buying and submitting documentation from Walmart for years. Never had a problem with Mobil honoring the rebate. Certainly it's what I plan to do again this year.

Yeah, agree. Thinking that reduced crude prices and reduction in output and significant reductions in demand due to reduce travel is gonna put some price pressure to move inventory. Rebates good for awhile and I've got a few 5 qts on the shelf so I'm gonna hold off for a bit.

The only 0W-40 available at walmart is $29.99 and sold 3rd party. As an aside, I hate that Walmart.com includes all listings from all sellers. I just want to know what's in the store.

Alot of their products are not available for sale right now. Probably due to the coronavirus.
