Also this mulch sucks.
This can vary heavily by region/ location but it might be worth checking out your local landscaping companies. Many deliver bulk mulch but pricing can vary between $20-$40 per yard delivered. Depending on how much you need, it might make more sense.

With that said this deal comes out to $27 per yard.

Advantages:
- bags are easy to spread and you dont have to load wheel barrows of mulch from a drop off.
- can be cheaper

Disadvantages:
- may require multiple loads to an from the store (typical midsize SUV can hold 25 bags, think CRV)
- more likely to be poor quality, check bags for mold
This mulch comes from a different source depending on your region. The bags I have gotten in NW Oregon for years have been great. If you are not indicating the area of purchase with your feedback you are not helping anyone on this site.

This mulch gets terrible reviews. I'll wait for a similar deal at Home Depot.

On a separate note, are any of these stores offering mulch delivery? Seems safer for everyone than having lots of people come into stores.

I been watching the reviews as well. Price is tempting but reviews are very bad

Like those stated above, going to the store to pickup mulch seems irresponsible. Now if Lowes perfects non-contact curbside pickup that would certainly help. They mentioned it a month ago, but haven't seen any movement on it.

This is awful mulch and the Home Depot Vigoro goes on sale for the same price but is substantially better. Preen has been the consistent best in my experience.

This stuff any better than it was a few years ago? Was absolutely trash last time I got it. The Home Depot mulch was way better...

This mulch is bad. Last year they were doing a deal on a different mulch for $2. Maybe Scotts. They ran out and subbed in this. I thought it would be better because it said Premium. It was awful from the start and didnt last past the first rain.

For the majority of us in "Shelter-in-Place" decreed states, are we even allowed to shop for non-essentials like mulch? I know landscaping is an exception for commercial purposes (for MD at least) but may not be for personal.

Yep just got some of this a couple weeks ago in So Cal and it's no better or worse than the same stuff from our Home Depot! Not sure where the rest of the country is getting theirs from but we've always been OK with this "cheap" stuff!

As long as you get the same type and color it'll fade out all the same, so not sure how mulch can be bad (red excluded). Definitely buy/pick up in person to check the bags for white mold.

Yep, no online ordering and delivery for Lowes in my area so they are out! I ordered Scott's Earthgro for $3 a bag instead and splitting delivery cost with my neighbor. This way we both avoid the stores and don't have to worry about our SUV's getting smelly and dirty.
Put same Scotts down last spring and my mulch still has some brown color to it. I can see other neighbors opted for cheaper mulch and it looks all dried out. Not the cheapest but quality is definitely there.
