Like the previous one, not a bad price but not a great deal.
The screen is the weakest point without IPS, not too bright and the touchpad screen is more gimmicky than useful, does not substitute for not having a touch screen.

This one comes with more bells and whistles. IR Camera for Windows Hello, Comes with a mousepad screen as you mentioned as well. Keyboard is backlit.
Screen should be IPS per ASUS's website. No other screen option for this model.
Most importantly though, you get VivoBook Stickers!
The touch pad seems to be an unnecessary gimmick and the general consensus is that users are unhappy with it. They have not released the tools necessary for any developers to take advantage of it, not that I would expect many to.
When there is an update for the touch pad it renders the computer unusable for several hours during the update process
Read again, it says "IPS-level wide-view technology" that doesn't mean IPS. Could be VA?
That's a possibility though I just saw this video and they mentioned 178 degree viewing angles unless there are VA panels that have that capability as well?
TouchPad is a screen? That's very interesting although I am not sure if it's actually better than a regular touchscreen laptop. It should be like note device with a pen to write thst would be much better.

But, you might be right about the IPS. While it doesn't say so explicitly, it does mention 178 degree wide view for this model too.
It seems to be designed for tweeners.

This reviews says IPS here so hopefully that clarifies that ambiguity.
