Unless you need one right now...the dual fuel version goes on sale for same price from time to time.
it will be the same, these old style generators remain at the same RPM whenever they are on this is how they ensure they are getting the correct Hz. the only generators whose noise level and rpm change when under load are fancier inverter generators. they have the benefit of being quieter and more efficient but at a cost.

4000 STARTING Watts
Actually 3500 running

"Decibel rating: less than 69 dB with no load"
doesn't say what noise level is when under load?

Thanks for that. Will wait. The dual fuel is $279 right now, which is decent anyway.

For most home rare emergency backup use, once you use propane you'll never look back.

and Non-CARB compliant/Not for sale in California for those that don't have any friends in Nevada to ship it to.

I've used mine to power my Travel Trailer as well. I expect things like this are going to go in clearance.. . as no one is buying hardly anything.

This.

I have a dual fuel Champion, 4500 watt, and installed a power interlock and hookup for emergency power. I've owned the generator for a while now and never have used gas. Why deal with gummed up carbs when I can just use a 20# propane tank.

I would also recommend getting one with wheels or a wheel kit if you're planning home use for emergency power.

But for this particular deal, it's a nice price for anyone wanting a gas one.

I do not own a generator but I do own a home and would like to have something for emergency backup... Does a 20 lb propane tank run longer than a five gallon can of gas?
