Doesn't the x570 boards use more power?
Can I turn off the pci e 4, and use 3 instead to save power, and then undervolt the north and southbridge?

Bought this last BF for $109 (after $30 MiR). The first one was a lemon and returned for a replacement via Newegg, no hassles. It's been a good board for me so far. I paired this with a NZXT H510 tower but didn't realize this MB doesn't support USB-C so the built-in USB-C port on my tower is useless. Other than that, great board.

What issues did your first board have? Mine takes forever to boot and for some reason drops the MBR with some drivers.

I'd go as rock b450m pro 4 if you're looking for a board under $100 for Ryzen. I wouldn't honestly bother with a 470/570 unless you're really just wanting to spend money. I'd go with ASUS Tuf gaming plus with wifi I believe it is if you're dead set on 570.

I have a b450m pro 4 with WiFi and a Ryzen 3700 with 16gb of 3200 14/14/14/31 dark pro ram with a 2070 super and 970 eco plus and couldn't be happier. You're not going to overclock a Ryzen 3rd gen like you would say an intel 9700k so the extra vram cooling and stuff isn't needed. 4.0 for NVME isn't worth it over 3.0.

Personally I'd save the money go b450 and wait until DDR5 is out of its infancy which is around 1-2 years from release (supposed to be released Q4 this year or so,time 2021)for ram to really pick up. By then you will need a new board anyways so upgrade chip, board and ram all in one swoop and best set for another 5 years or more.

Yeah, I figure that, or b450 would be a better choice, as current pci e 4 m2 drives wont really have any better gaming performance either way. I just need to make sure that I can run 4 sata drives along with two M2 drives, and play nice with 3600 mhz memory, on a ryzen 3600.
So I figure that should be possible for $100 <.

If you need two M.2 run at the full X4 speed. You can only choose X570. I don't know how much more power x570 need than x470 or b450. I suppose it will be just a little. But if you get a b450 or x470 I'm pretty sure you will get one M2 run at x4 and another one run at PCIE 3.0x2 or 2.0x4. I've done many research on this since I need two full speed m2 slots, and none b450 or x470 meet my need

I just got this but I can't decide what ram to get for it at a decent price. Saw that Oloy 3600 32gb for $124 recently, don't know if it would run at that on this board. Looking for a corsair deal. The kits I keep finding are not on the list on the asrock site for a 3700x... Might get 16 or 32gb depending on deal.

PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSDs are significantly faster, especially for gaming.
