I was able to get Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 in 215 /45 R17 for $340 after tax. Throw in the $80 manufacture rebate and that puts me at $260 all in. That's $65 ea for "ultra-high-performance" with a recognizable brand name.

Have you ever had to get a tire repaired at Costco? Discount Tire takes appointments, you're in and out. Costco is great for lots of things, but tires isn't one of them. Ridiculous wait times and takes days to get replacements in stock. Bought the certificates at Discount, made an appointment, they took care of me ASAP.

Found a couple of deals I could double dip with (rebates+discount). Still price seems a little high. Wonder if they will be cheaper in the summer

Looks like mild good deals here. If you needed tires anyway, and wanted to get them now, not bad deals. But you can usually negotiate better deals with smaller local tire shops.

Hi university student here and longtime lurker who just got their first car! Sorry if this sounds naive, but what's considered a "good deal" at Costco or Discount Tires for something basic?

Costco does $130 off a set of 4 on Bridgestone or Michelin from time to time.
With Discount tire, you could double dip - this rebate and a manufacturer rebate if there is any promotion.

Well that's silly. Trying to buy four of the same brand and model tires , but my back tires wider so the 100 discount doesn't work because All 4 not the exact Size. That's dumb.

Yeah I tried to do different sized tires as well, but no luck. You could probably call them and they will fix that. I agree the deals aren't as good as they were years ago. Didn't like the main man of DT pass away or something? I always attributed it all to new management trying to hoard the money for themselves and not passing on the amazing deals they used to have.
