Pretty dang good deal. I love Edifier's speakers. If the R1700BT wasn't enough for my bedroom I would scoop these up in a heartbeat.

Solid shelf speakers, especially at this price, bought one 2 years ago at around $349.

The only thing I don't like is Bass via Optical input is way more amplified than the Bluetooth input, if I switch inputs I have to adjust it. Eventually I just use it as my office bluetooth speaker and has no complaint for both build and sound quality.

How would these compare to these Monolith from Monoprice?

I got the R1850DBs in December for $129.99 and they rock. The R2000DBs for $162 seem like a solid deal.

Kinda wish I got these instead of the Klipsch Promedia 2.1. Rather have bass from the speakers than a sub for the sake of my downstairs neighbors. Still tempted.. . . .
