thanks this is my first drone for my son I do not know anything about drone can you explain when you said won't be legally?
Outdated how?
This what I've been able to find. You do need to register your drone with the FAA and display the registration number prominently on the outside of the aircraft. Requirements for a drone operator knowledge test (https://www.faa.gov/uas/recreatio...t_updates/) and even transponders built into newly manufactured drones (https://www.faa.gov/uas/research_...remote_id/) are under development, but have not been implemented yet. I could find no source indicating that should a transponder requirement be implemented, previously manufactured models would suddenly become illegal to fly.
"The Remote Identification proposed rule provides a framework for remote identification of all UAS operating in the airspace of the United States."
Hobbyists and anyone who purchased a drone without Remote ID capabilities from the factory, would no longer be allowed to fly those drones.
A big part of what has everyone up in arms, is the loss of how much is learned, when you build your own. Making home-built drones illegal will stifle a good deal of creativity and love of scientific principles, in a lot of young people. Well, fingers crossed and make your voice heard at the same time. Personally, I'll lose use of about 14 quadcopters, if it passes, including one home-built that taught me a LOT lol
Only have a couple syma throw away that aren't great outside. The stabilized 1080 video looked fine to me. Any better drones in this price range or better that you guys recommend? This looks decent for the price but haven't looked for a while.

Same here, I have about 12 home-built quadcopters and several flight controllers, motors, speed controllers and frames sitting on the shelf waiting to be played with.
I'm migrating over to 4wd RC buggies with big bad brushless motors to fill the void when my quadcopter hobby dies.
