Hey folks! Saw the Nest Outdoor Cam on sale for $149 (reg. $199.00) at various retailers, but at Staples I got an extra $25 off with coupon 66122, bringing the price down to $124, before tax + FS. I included a screenshot of my total. WikiBuy added two other codes - 77453 & 12315 - for an additional whopping 1c off each. Smilie Note that the total discount wasn't reflected in my cart, but it did show up when I went to check out.

ETA: Nest subscriptions start at $10/mo for the first camera. Each additional camera is an extra $5/mo.

    Yes, but just due to the pandemic and also just by default. You can still increase the resolution if really needed and if not itll revert anyway when things return to normal. Either way that's not a reason to not purchase this item.

    What they did is set the default quality to standard for everybody in order to save bandwidth for ISP's. You're free to bump up it if you want, though there's a good reason for keeping the setting while we deal with the pandemic.

    This was done temporarily due to Coronavirus to help alleviate stress on ISP infrastructure. You can manually go in and set it back to high if you want. Don't spread useless information.

    Use a plug in that isn't easily accessible. Mount an exterior outlet up high or drill to the interior.

    Difference between this and the new iq camera? Also hope their new plan is more like ring, 10+5+5 isn't cheap. Won an original ring doorbell from work and it is useless with contrast in a doorway with an overhang. Have nest mesh, home and should probably just change

    If only Nest can start their cheaper plan soon. From their website:

    "The new Nest Aware brings event-based recording and more video history to all Nest cameras in your home, and helpful new sound detection on Nest displays and speakers – for one low price. Coming early 2020."

    When exactly do they think is early 2020?
