Actually the promo ($5 off making it $26.99) says "online only" so definitely don't go to a store. (people still go to stores?). And if you have Target RedCard (I recommend), you get free shipping on most items, including this, and an extra 5% off. Just ordered for delivery in 2 days, pretty good!

"Just use a $200 dollar power tool" sounds pretty smart-butt to me. Sharpening garden tools comes with the territory, and Fiskars makes nice stuff.

I don't think anybody who's even remotely interested in this deal has "any branch more than 2 inches or so in diameter" in mind when it caught their eye.

No. I didn't know you can do it at Home Depot. For me I went to their website and just give them a picture and they mail over a new one. I love Fiskars for this reason.

This was for some rusted ones too.

Good deal, with the 3 pieces, but I fear low quality all around since the lopper included doesn't include gears. That thing will break itself or your arms squeezing it without gears.
If they skimped on gears for the lopper, would expect similar shortcuts taken to reduce production cost on the other parts as well.
Too much risk of half trimmed hedges, and a broken set of shears.

add a $3.99 bag of Tostitos or some other food product that ships free with $25 order, and get free shipping on your Fiskars. Get another $1 off if you "consolidate packaging".

Just stick to the branch size they're rated for and they will be fine. Extremely well reviewed at Homedepot https://www.homedepot.com/p/Fiska.../300450094

Got this kit for like $20 some years ago. Splitted the set and kept the lopper. It is good tool.

I have to second this!
Loppers have their purpose but if you are anywhere near an outlet a cheap reciprocating saw will make this work much faster.

You can pick up a recip saw from HF for $19.99 all day long.
Get a pack of wood blades or even, yes, they make pruning blades for < $10.
Then of course you will need an extension cord.

I've had my $20 HF recip saw for 6-7 years now - still works great - I use it for construction projects but mostly to maintain 400' of fence where thicket likes to grow. I use a cheap wood blade and can cut the thicket out below ground level, i.e. at the roots. If i tried to use loppers I wouldn't be able to get below ground level and also it would take me months and my hands/arms would be killing me. With a cheap reciprocating saw I can groom back about 40-50 feel of fence in an hour.

A Reciprocating saw is a wonderful tool and it has many many more uses than just pruning trees unlike this lopper/pruner set.
Wow 400' feet of fence....how long is your extension cord.

If those are the heavy duty one it's worth it. Bought one from home depot and returned and got one from harbor freight man. It was a mistake. Fiskar cuts better and you are in better control.

Great little set, I started with these tools years ago. The loppers are okay if you know their limitations but I replaced them with the levered version which is a huge upgrade. For larger branches fiskars makes a $15 bow saw which is an excellent complement to this set.

Power saws are easier than hand saws. I disagree with all the people saying to buy Sawzall style recip saws. You're much better off in the yard and most use in general with a hackzall style recip saw which is much lighter and can be used one handed. Much better for cutting in tight spaces, overhead and/or while on a ladder.

Wow a whopping 4 dollars off
Deals like these make me feel like I'm just partaking in a great scheme to push shit we don't need. Oh wow, trimming set I never knew i needed and if I act now I can save less than a fast food meal at McDonalds!

It's amazing more companies aren't gaming this site to tap in to all the suckers.
