And for those wondering...
It is only half my fence line which butts up against my woods on 2 sides (side and back). So I use 200' cord at the house from one end of the fence and a 200' cord from my back garage for the other end.
plus this is the cheap set and well lose its edge quicky. unless you sharpen yourself, dont do it. any branch more than an 2 inches or so in diameter will be a pain with these cheap ones.
I disagree on the sawzall though. For proper pruning you want a nice clean cut, the sawzall will leave a very rough torn up cut and often split and damage the branch.
Pruner for $10 - https://www.homedepot.c
Not top of the line and not as good as the classic Corona brand ones but these have lasted years, been a very good value. Lifetime warranty. Mine have bent a bit and I just opened a warranty claim, no response yet probably due to corona, but we'll see how that goes. Even if not, I got my $10 out of them easily.
High leverage/high capacity loppers

Again, not the best out there, but $25 and they've lasted years of cutting through up to 1.5 or 2" branches with ease.
Grab one of these and keep them constantly sharp with very little effort (along with your lawnmower blade, axes, knives, scissors, etc).

Dull pruners and loppers do a lot of damage and require a lot more effort. A few passes with this tool after or before each use and it's a dream and you won't bend the tool or damage your plants.
For dead branches, I have an old pair of ratcheting anvil pruners that really make that task easier. Each squeeze tightens and clicks so you don't break your hand trying to do it all with one squeeze. Fiskars does make a set, but these are only for use on dead branches, they will crush and injure live branches.

Very helpful post for a gardening noob like myself, grabbing those items instead, thanks!

Everything will work, but if you don't mind spending a little bit more or wait for a sale on the higher end line, I highly recommend that route.
Maybe it's because I'm female, but I have no use for a sawzall. I have had these tools for probably 15 years and they work well for me.
Let my Mom and one of her neighbors (both retirees) use the sawzall. They were able to use it (supervised of course). Mom can still use the loopers but her hand strenghth is waning.
P.S. you'd be surprised how much easier/cleaner the loopers cut when sharpened regularly. 😉 Difficult to notice how they gradually dull. Much like noticing how quickly teenagers grow only when you after time away from them.
A definitive answer for the reality of his yard can't be known without that info, unless you want to assume he has no house, no multiple outlets, etc.
