We'll see if this year going to be 'business as usual' regarding TVs. Most TV and panel producers in Asia have stopped production due to both the quarantine and subsequent supply lines disruptions. There is a tiny trickle of new TV sets reaching US shores at the moment. That may change by June, but for now - existing stocks is all that big TV sellers like BestBuy and Wal-Mart have.
I was thinking the same thing....not to mention TVs are one of the things selling like hot cakes, thanks to the stimulus cash. Clearance is usually excess stock....no excess stock then no clearance.
