I would stay away. Metro service is absolute garbage. If you don't like the service you are stuck with it or the phone will be locked to metro forever. Plus no options, you just get the black 64gb. Every time I've bought a phone through them they always try to tell me you have to buy a case and screen protector because the phone is insured, which is "required" upon activation. The whole set up is just a big rip off.

Anyone know if they carry the 128gb or 256gb versions with the same discount?

Please excuse a stupid question, but I have Cricket and would like to keep same, can I buy an AT&T SE at Walmart for $199 and just stick my SIM card in that and actually have an SE? I'd like to upgrade from my 6 plus but am trying to figure out the cheapest way to do so without having to leave Cricket (family plan)

It does not look like they carry those versions. They are usually pretty limited which version they carry.

Your phone will not be locked to Metro by T-Mobile forever. You aren't required to buy anything additional for your phone. Just tell them no. Metro by T-Mobile service does not suck. Service quality is dependent on a multitude of things such as your service area, home, etc. I've had service with them for years and have never had any issues with dropped calls, sending/receiving text messages, etc. Also, you're a sucker if you actually get pulled into purchasing anything but the phone itself inside their store. Never ever purchase a case, screen protector, etc in a store. They're always overpriced! Always buy online

You have to have 180 days continuous service in order to unlock the phone. That's too big of a risk for people that haven't used metro before. I never buy the cases, but the fact that they tell you stuff is required and over charge you is slimey.

Metro's service was great for me before I tried Total Wireless last year, and I'd consider this SE, but the battery reviews are not great. I think I'll stick with my 7 Plus now that it's unlocked and may go back to Metro one of these days.

I think the total price of this phone will be as folllows
Phone $99
Activation $15
First month $60
Taxes $8 or $32 (depending on store - some charge on full price)

Total = $182 to $206

Just returned from corp store in Hartford. The deal is iPhone SE for $199 and after 6 months of service they give you a $100 rebate card. Not a slick deal unless you want to switch permanently to Metro.. OTOH I walked out with a new iPhone 7 for $88.21 OTD with one month service. I've done 6 prior phone deals with Metro and all phones unlocked at 6 months though I only paid for the first month and the TOS were the same as today. Of course it's YMMV as a few have reported failure of their phones to be unlocked,
