Order status: Partially shipped
I'm porting some boost mobile numbers to my pre-existing att mobile account.
Quote from mmartinezs
Second order cancel, same message. Visit an At&t store to verify identity
I just came home from the local AT&T store. The rep said in the last week or so, she had 4-5 new customers come in and complained that their online orders (not related to the $250 BYOD deal) got cancelled and were told to go to local stores. She called AT&T internal staff and was told that they had some system problem with credit approval for new customers.
She said she couldn't open for me an "empty" account with no service order. She offered to place for me an order with one-line of service to get the account established, then I can go online and order the rest of the lines to get the $250 GCs. I told her I'd have to think about that.
Moral of the story: maybe those Boost #'s from the bay won't work. That's a few similar DPs now.

All the lines still say the same estimated ship date however (May 5 - 7)
FWIW, I'm a new AT&T customer but I also was fairly quick to get on the deal, not sure if that matters for the cancelations others are seeing. It may just be an AT&T issue of something not matching / some internal fraud algorithm kicking in.
Edit: Didn't have a need to need to call. If one line shows up as pending port approval, the information can be checked online at: http://att.com/port
Four of my numbers said the following:
Transfer Status: Your transfer request has been confirmed by your previous service provider.
One said incorrect pin, so I re-entered it, checked again and it had the same status with a slightly later time for the port to expect to be completed today compared to the other 4. Hopefully this helps someone who fat-fingered
Edit 2: After I corrected the issue (maybe coincidental), AT&T sent an e-mail saying the one pin was incorrect but the others said they had an issue, but no reason given in the e-mail. Probably AT&T's notification needs work cause the other numbers were fine. I may call later and speak to a human just to confirm if I don't see a ship notification.
Edit 3: Called in and spoke to a human, no other steps may necessary if a line does not show as 'pending port approval'.
I'm thinking about opening an account through Best Buy (in the past, with other carriers, opening through BBY bypassed many carrier-specific account reviews, etc) and buying one device. Then, once an account number is established, opening the new lines, returning the original device, and opening one final new line.
Thoughts?
